Music is emotive - yes

September 09 2013

As a music lover, I'm always surprised when I hear a track I haven't heard for ages, that I had completely forgotten about. Also adds weight when it means something.Latest "You're Moving Out Today" by Carole Bayer Sager. Great track. Look forward to hearing your latest....

I love listening to happy and relaxing music, and energetic songs like: - Counting the stars by OneRepublic - Wake me up by Avinci - Turn all the lights on by T-Pain - Acapella by Karmin, etc. etc. I always turn my radio on high when I'm in my car alone, better even when I'm driving from city to home at night time. I just love the music sensation to my ears and the good energy I get from listening to those energetic songs.- Posted from rhpmobile

was more talking about stuff you come across and then add it to your collection / library / playlist.Morris was a pioneer, and Mes some would wonder what your talking about re the cassette's.I'm starting to follow the minimalist line and getting rid of a lot of stuff, however the cassette's and LP's are just going to hang round for a bit longer I think, its only a few boxes... It's amazing when you consider how little room Gigabyte's of music take up compared to the old media.Industrial Disease is my fave from DS, must be the philosopher in me... It actually awakened my socialist leanings to be honest

Well what can one say we all need to have music around us. Songs that will make you feel good and songs that will make you feel sad. For me just play footloose and you'll never stop me dancing

I've also found that I can use music to alter and improve my mood or psych me up. When I'm angry, a bit of heavy metal calms me down. Wound up and can't sleep = chillout. Going out or having people around for a BBQ/drinks = classic rock. Gym sessions = trance....- Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'cwhereitgoes'was more talking about stuff you come across and then add it to your collection / library / playlist. "Yellow" and "Trouble" by Coldplay and "This old love" by Lior. Quoting '50zkool'Radar love - Golden Earring. One hit wonder, but one of the best driving/road songs ever ! One hit wonder my arse. Did you know they're Dutch? They started out in the seventies and are still touring. Make sure to check out "Twilight Zone" on Youtube. And if you want to see an impressive music video (that was shot in 1984!), check out "When the lady smiles".

being an ex truckie, "Gear Jammer" by GT and the Delaware Destroyers, actually caught them @ Bruce Stadium in the late 80's. Best concert by an American band I've attended actually, maybe just the right place at the right time, went to the "Bin" and the "Leather Bottle" after, I wonder if they are still about?.Radar Love is grouse as well, spent many a night with that playing full noise.Plenty of others, Love never runs on time by PK et al....

... Kate Bush. :)   I actually picked up The Whole Story on CD the other day. It's an old greatest hits compilation that I used to own (before it was stolen) and I had forgotten to replace.   Anyway, it's brought back quite a few good feelings listening to it. Especially "Running Up That Hill" and "Cloudbusting".

My FWB to the Gypsy Kings the other day. He had never heard of them before. If he ever hears them on the radio in the future though it will always remind him of the hottest sex he's ever had, they are great to bonk to.

Ever had that moment when you break out in song with a tune in shops? People look at you like a loony!Last year I hear "She makes my day" by Robert Palmer playing over the speakers in the shops... hadn't heard it in ages and it got stuck in my head... had to go hunt for it as it was driving me, the ex-wife and the girls at the checkout nuts as I couldn't stop singing it...And now there was a comment in another thread about men going off to war and 1927's "Compulsory Hero" got stuck... is a nightmare!Thank god for karaoke to help get the music monkey off my back
