If you turn off your GPS locator on your phone, then they can't track where you are and send nearby alerts. I don't like the setting myself - I like to control who knows where I am, not a phone and a website!

When you use the mobile app, you can see who is nearby, and you can choose to send them an alert or not. I have only ever had a few, so am not 100% sure. Perhaps, when using the mobile app, use the "Profile Location" setting rather than your actual location. Not sure if that will make a difference though. Good luck!

The nearby alert thing is just so random... At the brizvegas drinks night, my phone ran hot all arvo... But not a peep with room full of rhper's, the Sydney drinks night same story, and Melbourne with sexpo next door ran hot all night. And like I said earlier, in Melbourne for almost a week and not one... Hp xo 💌 Because you're worth it...

Click on the alerts button and select friends....that way only the people that you have as friends will Rhp send you a notification :) - Posted from rhpmobile

I always had the notifications turned off because they'd always pop up at inconvenient times, like when at work. I recently got rid of the app as I see no reason to be accessible to it 24/7.
