Nearby alert??

  The "nearby alert" is one of the rhpmobile app functions, which shows you who are within certain kilometers near where you are, and that they are online at the time the app sends you the alert. So you know who are online if case you needed or wanted to hit someone up for a chat 😜- Posted from rhpmobile

  There was a guy who had an idea of an App that alerted you if someone you didn't want to bump into (ex wife/husband, ex-girlfriend/boyfriend, current wife/husband, boss, mother-in-law etc) came within a certian pre-set distance of your location. Awsome idea to prevent those awkward moments! He called it "Freminies" and it ran off your phone's GPS. The other person had to agree to sign up to it to work of course (not a problem I guess if the feeling is mutual!) RPHers should have a similar app that runs off your profile preferences and sends out a proximity alert if you happen to wander into eyeball distance of a potential RPH match. Sort of like electronic pheromones! Would turn Queen Street Mall on a friday afternoon into a giant sexulal "Where's Wally"!

  Maybe it is like Blendr - not sure, as I don't use rhpmobile... Of course we are here to lok for locals but it is great to have the Forums as there is so much more stimulating discussion - I wish I could travel a bit more :-)

  Im straight but my nearby informs me of males straight/gay that are nearby, ive never seen a girl even come up. can u turn this off or make it at least preference based ?

  There's a little eye icon I think it is when you've first logged in down the bottom where you can turn them off. It just shows people near you, not necessarily ones you are looking for or looking for you.- Posted from rhpmobile
