  On the most simplistic level, I wonder Chev, for women how much it has to do with the shock of being flooded with interest from lots of profiles, a huge amount that don't even match what they're after. I base that on the many posts in the forums about how unnerving it can be. For men, I wonder if it the lack of ability to attract attention. They realise they're not going to get the easy lay they were hoping for and move on. Then I suppose there are a whole pile of profiles with differing agendas that find working from behind a closed profile to be something that only works for them for a short time. That's all supposition and there has to be many more reasons of course. Cheers, Peachy

  I don't know how many women it is that have no idea how to delete their profile considering they don't have a delete button or instructions how to as part of their profile. I figure a large part of the reason for men is that they don't see any need for explanation so they just leave their profile as it is. Peachy

  Lately it appears to be around every 3 in 4 newbies that do that.In for a day, then never again.

  Annoying as hell as it makes it look like there are heaps of people in your area. For couples, I figure that one of them made the profile to have a look around or in an attempt to convince the other to start swinging. It's one reason why we generally only contact people who have pics, information filled out and non template blurbs. It also comes down to the difficulty in deleting a profile as already suggested above so they just leave it.

  To my way of thinking , they're not worth another look. Most have a distorted opinion of themself.. Nothing but glorified wannabe's.. Do you really want to waste your time trying to figure out why they feel their own self importance is better than thee ? Next...

  Oh yes... female profiles don't have a delete button in my experience, though I have seen posts where women said they have it, recently. For those who don't we need to go out of our way to delete by sending a message to RHP. Men, couples and other profile types have delete buttons I believe. I do like your name, lol. Peachy
