Nice hair

March 14 2015

As a very self aware person I've recently noticed a trend in the women i find attractive. They tend to have really nice hair. I'm not talking style or colour, but more hair health. I've always maintained i'm a fan of redheads, but that doesn't seem to be a factor in this instance as its more of bonus points to the whole package as opposed to hair considered on its own. I've noticed i tend to dislike thin lifeless hair. I don't know what causes it to look like that (genetics? too many colour changes in too short a time?). It's not a deal breaker, but apparently i like it less than a head of thick shiny locks. Any other blokes find good hair gives conscious/subconscious bonus points? Any ladies wanna comment on possible hair insecurities, or a preference for guys with good hair. From a distance i look like i have thick shiny curls that women comment they either wish they had or would like to run their hands through. However my hair tangles super easy and someone trying to run their fingers through it tends to get stuck after about a third of its length. And don't even talk to me about humidity...

I went for a dramatic change.....for me anyway, after sporting the same style for most of my life, I decided, time for a change.... Out came the clippers and tada....the side shave....loved it immediately, so much that a couple of months later I shaved the other side too, I love my hair and love to see healthy hair on women and men. It reveals a little about them and their habits.. ( I love to ppl watch ) Men with hair on the other hand.....If they have some I prefer it clean cut n somewhat styled, preference is none though :) Certainly if I rocked up to a meet n greet n the helper arrived with dirty hair... Hmmm I would be questioning in my mind, what else is dirty?? Deal breaker .....

My hairdresser likes my hair. It is very thick and healthy. Nobody else comments on it though! As for men, I like short hair that is just long enough to run your fingers through. Clean and healthy please! Dandruff and/or greasy hair is quite the turn off.

Highly overrated? ;-) . I like to think of mine as my crowning glory, but it's not a Princess. . It's ok with me if you have hair too, or not lol.

a preference as to hair on guys except to say I don't find long hair attractive on men. I do get lots of comments on my hair men either love it or hate it. I find most love it

you have gorgeous hair. I am not liking mine atm, I had a smoothing treatment done and it ruined my natural curls. It looks ok when I straighten it but I am a low fuss kinda gal and now if I don't straighten it, it just looks like a wavy mess :( Same as Missb for hair on men also, I don't like long hair, not a fan of curly hair on blokes either. Funnily enough I don't mind yours OP so maybe it depends on who is wearing it?

Hormones and genetics don't help though I have fine hair, made thinner through post natal hair loss, in fact I went completely bald at the temples and it has never grown back to what it used to be. Before kids I did a lot of hair modelling, new style and colour every six weeks, awesome! It did grow back, but I was used to having funky, individual and colourful hair, I still change styles and colours frequently, but my hair can't take it for too long so I just it cut off. I hear a collective gasp from the audience! Not the cut?!? At the end of the day hair grows back, you get what you are given, and it shows when you make the most of what you have, but thick, shiny, lucious locks are not a reality for a lot of us and extensions, no matter how well done, look like shit after a few weeks and ruin your hair near the shaft. Dirty hair though, that don't sit right with me, it is a deal breaker, right alongside b.o and bad breath. Long, bald, short or something in between doesn't worry me. Hubby has long wavy hair, I love it, I can grab fistfulls of it or just brush and play with it (he doesn't like the humidity either, uses more products than I do!) I've also known no him any no other way, he was just managing to scrape it into a ponytail when we met as wee youngsters. I very much doubt he will ever cut it. You've seen the older guy at concerts with white long hair, still rocking, well, that will be my hubby

My hair is my hair I don't have much of a choice as to how it is mine has been ruined by medication. So now if it is long short, bald/duck fluff, straight or curly it is what it is. But I prefer my men with clean cut hair. - Posted from rhpmobile

is very fine and it has been my whole life. I envy people with a thick head of hair, but then I can wash, style and blowdry mine in under 10 minutes, so as with everything, there are consolations I used to see a man who had gorgeous thick, curly hair that was about shoulder length. I thought it looked and felt sexy as hell. I loved being able to tangle my fingers into it.

It can get in the way at times but I feel sexier with it long. On occasion I have chopped it off, bob or just shy of a pixie cut back in the day. Takes about two years to be super long again. I have been toying with cutting it again and nearly had the decision made for me yesterday when a section of hair got stuck in my miracurl. I had to unplug it and head to my neighbour's to untangle it, took about 10 minutes 😕 I like a clean cut man; short back and sides with a little product on top.

Thanks to science, hair is just going to get silkier and smoother year on year. I saw an ad the other day which showed a new conditioner which made hair FIVE TIMES silkier than other conditioners. I'm pretty sure I heard similar claims last year - so the science breakthroughs haven't plateaued yet. It's a bit like toothbrushes and toothpaste - every 5 minutes there's an ad for a new revolutionary change - brushes that get between the gaps, or clean your tongue.... pretty sure when the govt closed down the CSIRO, all the scientists ended up at toothbrush or conditioner r&d labs. I must say, amazing hair not only gets bonus points from me, it may even have me look up from someones breasts.

I have thin hair too. Nothing I can do about it. And it grows very slowly! I often try to make it look thicker with layering. But it is healthy and most of the time silky soft, except after a bike ride or when I drive with the window down...then it's just a tangled mess. Lol...must be something to do with women who have thin hair cos I like running my fingers through a guys hair too! But I have no preference to style or length.

My hair is fair I have to put dark streets in to tone it down. I think it is white! But I am never going old lady white hair. I don't like short, us Leo people line a nane us I like my hair pulled in rough sex. My nickname has always been blondie. My hair was often down to the small if my back when younger. It caused no end of problems when I hitch hiked in Israel or othe countries where long blonde hair was not common. So I bought some head scarfs and carried with my adventures. - Posted from rhpmobile

I've got double hair crowns so mine grows fairly quickly and i need a haircut every 4-5 weeks , so it is usually fairly short . When it comes to a womans hair , love it all , dyed , natural , straight , curly , don't really have an overriding preference , it's always exciting to me the way women transform their looks from a simple style for work etc ,to something more glamorous for a date or special occasion .

Mine's very thick! I look after it as best I can but sometimes, it's just too much faff, so it gets bundled up in a bun or plait. It's always clean though and smelling nice - like summer or fresh linen. In men, well, I have a weakness for the baldies InAdditionto(Mrs)

Because i feel like i've insulted those with thin hair, or problematic hair. That's just not true though.Hair is, at the end of the day, only hair. Personality is always gonna be WAAAAAYYYY more important. Seems to be a lot of women prefer men's hair shorter though... Maybe i should reconsider my style . I have a good head shape for shaven, and if i keep it short it becomes wavy, not curly. In fact i never thought i had curly hair until i grew it out. No one's commented on dreads. I have seen lots of hot women with dreads, but that was when i spent more time in the grunge crowd. I still like the music, but i don't hang with people much anymore... "Oh place your haaaaands... On my hooooope... Run your fiiiiiingerrrs... Through my soooouuuul! Alright now!"

I'm tussling with lovers, many of whom keep playing with my hair, then OMG it has a mind of its own. I have naturally curly hair ( think Michael Jackson with the Jackson 5 afro style) and it's black, I tame it with highlights, product and straighten it regularly, so that others can run their hands through my hair. I don't have a preference for a particular style with my lovers, I'll play with a head of hair or run my fingers around a cropped or bald head, all good to me. Mary xx

... a love/hate relationship with my hair. It's very thick and sort of curly, so letting it dry naturally is out of the question... I look like a stick insect with a dirty mop on my head :/ Problem is that when it's long it can take up to 45 mins to style, which is just a pain in the ass. Right now it's not too bad because I had to cut it short into a Posh Beckham style bob due to a hair colouring adventure. I'm tempted to leave it short for the convenience, but I prefer long hair on myself so it's not really an option. When it comes to guys, I have no real preference as long as its clean :). But a comb-over or long hair on older men is a deal breaker for me. Much love, Elle xx KIS, I love your hair... style and colour. But it is hard choosing between looking at your hair or your equally gorgeous boobs... I understand where JG's coming from lol

my hair has gone thinner. I think, I used to have really thick hair but my hairdresser mentioned that is it finer hair now. Hmmm. Been researching this and stress, and hormones lead to the condition of hair and it is not helped if we apply chemicals to strip our hair of natural oils, i.e. coloring, etc. i try to have my hair and bones vitamins eevery day to help out and it made a bit difference. more shine and strength and thickness. It also grew faster. I have limited coloring and straightening, only when I have special occasions or my hair needs it (which is everyday, haha). For men, I do nto really care about hair length as long as it is clean and if there is mop, a good cut and styled. Not too much product. Don't like patting spiky hair. I prefer the person the hair is attached to. That is a determinant if I will even let my hands wander all over his head.

Hair..... Surprised I still have mine after all the processing I've put it through. But I do condition it all the time and have a fairly healthy diet. Guys seem to like it. On men, I like short hair or a bald head : )

receive compliments on my hair...I guess it's because I don't have the "typical" haircut as in boob or short back and sides style. I have a fabulous hairdresser - she's always up with the latest styles and knows exactly what to do. I have the thickest hair and heaps of it...every 4 weeks (sometimes less) I have to go get it thinned out - there always ends up with more hair on the floor than on my head. I actually feel the weight lift from my head. I also have a double crown....old wives tales says "It's good luck and some say it's a curse! Chinese say "A baby born with a double crown will be mischievous and disobedient", as the two crowns represent horns and one crown represents a halo. Foxy

Is a good representation of me.... strong, different, a little wild and refusing to be fully tamed. No hair straightening for me as its a waste if time; it reverts to curls and waves within hours. I always walk a different path to others. If everyone else is straight, my curls shine on. If everyone is long haired I cut mine off. Conformity is not for me.

Ha ha - well not quite. I love healthy, shiny hair on women. I prefer low maintenance ladies in general (as in less make-up, nails and fuss) so when their hair is not chockers with product, but looks shiny and healthy I assume they are too. : ) As a guy with long, thick and curly/wavy hair I know it can polarise women's responses to me. I have had messages saying - 'Noooo - I hate long hair! Yuk!" before. LOL These days hipsters with beards and long hair are everywhere, so lucky me - I seem to be on trend.. without trying. ; )

I can't help but think 'dweeb' every time i see it. Looks good on only about 5% of the people i see it on. And then half of them go for thick-rimmed nerd glasses... They sell them with non focal lenses so you can wear them even if you dont wear glasses. How conceited do you have to be to wear glasses you dont need, like people wearing sunnies indoors.
