  Shellys beach,right at the end of palleranda was a nudist beach. But I never felt safe there. Way too many perverts. Might be different now. Hopefully some one local will let you know.

  Saunders Beach and Pallarenda are completely different beaches, which one are you actually talking about? Pallarenda is the one in town, Saunders Beach is about 20 to 30 minutes drive north. I'm thinking you probably mean Pallarenda, which is a known gay hotspot and as ticklish mentioned Shelley Beach right up the far end used to be and still is used by some as an unofficial nude beach (nude bathing is illegal in Qld), and dogging area. I wouldn't be going there on my own though, lots of dodgy characters. The road down to Pallarenda is popular for keen cyclists, your guy may have just been one of those.

Balding Bay is the best, it's the traditional nude beach on the Island. Worth the walk.Fridays should be quiet, a friend and I used to go when we lived in Townsville. Use the Northern end, My friend it was more comfortable for her there as the southern end tends to be the single males.

  Thanks for the info, I guess I better not go there then. Sorry it might be Shelly's Beach? It is off one of the long loop walks/circuits Ie Smedleys Trail is the only one I can remember, in Palleranda, I haven't done many walks near there so not sure on names.

  Yes shellys beach is a hot spot for some diffrenent guys, though safe enough! Walking all the bush tracks ( with the bike riders aswell) you get to some lovely veiws off magie island! Then head down to the beach n cool off with Mother Nature n get a lovely sun tan! Lol

  Hello to all. This is an old post but I,m going to Townsville this weekend. I would love to go nude on the beaches mentioned above. Saunders beach, Pallarenda beach.Magnetic Island - Balding beach. I have been to Darwin nude beach and went 3 days in a row. Best feeling to enjoy being nude and not have to cover up. People walk there dog past (Clothed) and young ladies jog there as well. Day 2 and It was late in the arvo so I was close to dune to get more shade and was asked 3 time by a philo to suck me off. Said no 3 times. Young men just walk past to perv on me but I didn't care. I looked at them as they walked past. Any advice on how to get there to be nude at the right part of beach would be helpful,I'm 100kg and 52 years old and love being nude
