Just generalise..what in particular annoys you..most housemates have annoying traits no one is perfect ...perhaps you need to think about your responses to what is annoying..if you can't cope then perhaps it's time to move xxFreya

What does procrastination have to do with things being neat and tidy? OCD is a serious disorder and not one for you to diagnose in my opinion. Like Freya said, housemates can have annoying traits, I think most of us will have a story or two. If it really bugs you, you could have a chat with them, but really you can can only change your own behaviour in the end.

I resemble your question. I have OCD and I have worked hard over the years to manage that and how that impacts my family! Yes we are exceptionally challenging to deal with, there is a daily struggle for me and the rest of my family to help us live together as harmoniously as we can! Mary xx

there's a place for everything and everything has its place..... I dunno if mine is ocd so much as its only in my place that it matters and it's rare that I feel nervous or jittery at someone else's place if it's not the same.... I just like my stuff clean, and put away where they're supposed to go....even before I leave for work for the week.... - Posted from rhpmobile

I was that person. If someone went to the bathroom I was in there after them folding the towel neatly again. The cupboards were full of neatly arranged items. It was sheer boredom that set it off, after I was single again and back to work it gradually lost its hold. But it was pretty stressful.

I lived with someone who had bad OCD everything very neat and in place and all symmetry. Now I new this person very well so knew what to expect even then it did not last long, we are very different people. With share housing you have to be very open and communicative. It is why I choose to live alone so my quirks don't bug anyone and I can keep them and be myself. So just have a chat with the person you have concerns with. Mind you I think we all have OCD's but some are just quirks and cause no debilitation bit like the difference between depression and clinical depression. And as Meander said not really up for self diagnoses. Good luck to you sorting things out.

Meander is the voice of valid questioning..I deal with a LOT of people.. and was recently given a book written by "Cameron West" PhD "First person. PLURAL - My life as a Multiple""Woah!!!!"24 individual and recordable personalities...I often see "Scary Shit" with persons at work, persons on mining camps, persons in pubs - (Because I don't drink)enough so, to NOT try to assess or diagnose, but stay alert to possible disturbances..

yeah - the said person doesn't go around making everything perfect- i get the vibe that the said person find's tidying the house as a way to relax, i get a vibe by just communicating. it is like a vibe great person as well

I think there's a big difference between neat-freaks and those with an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder diagnosis. (I don't, but know a few people who do and it involves more than a need for having things in their place.) x
