I like the idea. Almost like an out of office response in your email. But on the other hand, if these ppl get temperamental, they are not nice ppl imo. Rude messages because you didn’t respond is just uncalled for. A lack of patients shows a persons character, and you don’t need that.

What if you just didn’t respond until you wanted to? Who cares if it takes days to reply to a message, I do it all the time and give zero fucks if anyone cares. Its highly likely I’ve got other things I’d rather do.

Agree there should be something easier than pausing profile or making it not viewable, Best way I handle this is to send a message to existing chats, and post an update in my Bio. However, many do not read profile bios.

Most chuck a little note at the top. That said temperamental and demanding of attention is usually a good indicator of narsisitic personality disorder... Run We owe each other nothing but basic human decency. Like expressing sympathy for yourself being in hospital. Messages don't always get replies. That is the RHP game. Don't like that ? please exit via the door on the left.

first of all, let me wish you to return home as soon as possible and that everything will be fine with you. you don't have any obligation to answer to anyone stright away but you answer when you can. believe that whoever gets angry because of late replay or don’t understand does not deserve your attention

Hide your profile for a few days. It’s easy to turn off and on. I often do it when I need a break

Hope you get well soon. xx In response to your question I thought you could set up automatic replies. In messages on the computer on the top left is a settings icon. You can select Manage quick message. You can add your own and select it. I haven't tested it but I thought that once you receive a message it would respond with your selected message. It used to be like that but if it is now I am not sure. Which reminded me there used to be flirts. Like for Valetine Day and Christmas. Lots of funny messages you could send. Don't think that exist anymore either. Hard to keep up with all the changes. :-) Shells xx

Rhp has a function that allows you to stop accepting messages, so you can turn this on when you know you're not going to be able to respond to messages for a period of time and then turn it back on when you have time to be able to respond. It's not the same as an out of office message but it still serves the same purpose.

I think as previously suggested here, put a **Not receiving or replying to messages from DD-DD MMM** note in your profile. Also just turn your messaging off in settings for those days negates those complaining about no replies. If they have read your profile, they will know why they can't send or not received your message.

Nope. If I choose to not message anyone, that's MY choice, including existing conversations. I don't owe anyone anything, including access to my private life. Any connections I've made here with people who are actually involved in my life have access to me other than this app and usually know my schedule anyway. I'm not here to appease people's sense of validation, insecurity or stroke egos. I work long hours, live an incredibly busy life and don't owe people who aren't in a relationship with me access. I state this on my profile and it's actually getting comical watching the men crash out in my inbox when I haven't replied within 3 days. Huge indicator to me of one's character, and it's a block. Or sometimes I let them carry on and make a fool of themselves
