But definitely highly recommend a drive to the Wave Rock and the Pinnacles! These places are located quite far away from Perth, but they are 2 of WA's most famous sceneries to visit :-)- Posted from rhpmobile

Well i guess it depends on what you like In the city these days there is finally some decent bars that you could visit. The Press Club , The Grand The Aviary and a variety of others. Rottnest Island if you get nice weather it’s a great spot in winter also but it is basic and not cheap. And then you can head south.. you don’t have to go to Margaret River but that region certainly in fantastic piece of WA. More wineries than you can poke a stick at , some are all flash and others are rather quaint and bets to just grab a car and go hunting for yourself

Is awesome and is my favourite beer, so go to Fremantle. Denmark is my favourite hide away in all of Australia and is down the bottom of WA...paintme has the right idea, and I would also like to be packed into a suitcase to visit tuscan. Ms Bellagio in perth would also be a fun person to visit as well ;-)

Hi JaeTeez If you like visiting the wineries there are plenty of good ones in the Swan Valley and up in the hills around Bickley Valley (Kalamunda). Both areas are on the out skirts of the city. Margaret river area is beautiful but about 3hrs drive south of Perth. Northbridge is fun in the evenings, especially Friday and Saturday nights with lots of restaurants, live music, pubs and clubs, bars and there are plenty of boutique bars open in the city. Do a cruise up the river, over to Rottnest or around the Freo harbour on a speed boat. Sail the surfcats on the Swan River in South Perth. Check out the view of Perth from Kings Park. Fremantle - historic port great if you like to check out the haunted old Freo Jail, cafe strip with lots of good coffee places, seafood restaurants over the water. Go belly dancing at the Kaz Baa. Get to know some of the Perthies on RHP. I'm sure they will be happy to take you around and show you some of the play areas in Perth too. I'd be happy to meet up with you but I'll be heading off overseas that same week you arrive in the West. Enjoy your visit here. SFxx PS. Take advantage of hot Perth guys for a perve and chat up or hook up!

You do understand why this city of ours has the dag "dullsville" don't you? Yes Wave Rock is spectacular if you're ok with a 5hr drive through the wheat belt with nothing more than paddocks and roos to look at,then you drive back. A streak around the Pinnicles is good for a laugh and will consume an afternoon. Freo is a must,go Fri-Sun as the market is open these days only. Some great museums down ther to. There's the vineyards,Rottness Isd,down south but to be honest it is a pretty "dull" place that can be easily explored in a week. Closer to travel check when the "Pleasure Lounge" are having a gathering,it's by invite only so add your interest. Its a very friendly establishment, clean, great people, safe and you'll go home with some unforgettable WA memories. Good luck and welcome to our state. Watch out for the drop bears.

North: Pinnacles is great to see but should not be the main reason you are going there. If not, it will be a long trip for nothing much. If you go further north, to Kalbarri or Wave Rock, then you should stop at the Pinnacles.Perth: Kings's Park is great. If you take a cruise, do not bother taking the swan cruise upriver. The best views are down river, from Perth to Fremantle. I'm a vegetarian so can recommend great vegetarian places in Perth. The Swan valley has vineyards and a chocolate factory (Margaret River Chocolate factory). Hillary is always a nice spot, with the Aquarium and shops/restaurants there. For nightlife, Freo and Northbridge are great. Mount Lawley cafe strip is also nice place to visit.South: Mandurah has some good restaurants. Rockingham is a good place for crabs. Busselton has the longest jetty in the world. Bunbury is nice too, but just for a stop over by the beachside. Margaret River region is filled with vineyards, chocolate factory, olive plantations, dairy farm. so lots of things to do. There are caves nearby so you can go exploring...on well lighted paths. Further south you can see where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean at Cape Leuwin. At Walpole, there are giant treetop walks. I've not been to Albany or Denmark but a lot of people say it is fantastic. Nothing much to see there but it is a lovely get away from it all kind of place. A place to relax.Have a great time. W.A. is a lovely place. Oh, check out the city lights from South Perth at night. You can a fantastic view of the Perth skyline reflected on the waters.

Wave Rock is totally underwhelming after a 5hr drive, pass. The Swan Valley has a great range of wineries and breweries plus a chocolate factory if thats your thing.Freo is a good day out, (another vote for Little Creatures) as is Rottnest Island, if you are into exercise a bike ride to the west end or around the island is a hoot. Out towards the west end Eagle Bay is too shallow for most boats so is a good spot for a shag on the beach with some privacy if you are lucky.Margaret River has breweries as well as the wine and one or two good restaurants, accommodation through the tourist bureau has been top notch so far. Place tends to lack a nightlife beyond the pubs though. If I was you I would give serious consideration to driving straight down to Albany, then make your way along the bottom through Denmark and Walpole, the boat trip across the inlet to the surf beach at Walpole is a ripper, the guide is just one of those characters who is encyclopaedic interesting and entertaining at the same time, book. Then head over to Augusta Cape Leeuwin and then Margaret River and Perth.Have Fun.
