Just get a new pre paid phone. It's probably the best wayto keep RHP completely separate from your regular goings on and at a reasonable fee.

Dial 1831 before the persons number and it blocks your number. Nth is will only work with dialling out, not for texts.

A prepaid SIM card would do everything you need. I am assuming its until you know them a little better...alternately you can send an SMS from you computer using street data. Don't know much about it but work use it to SMS us with roster changes a lot. Google knows all.......mwahaha

I don't know what it's called but a few people mentioned an app on here awhile ago, where it disguises your number or something like that? Hopefully someone will answer you with the name.

Actually I think the app gives you can use a fake number or something like that so that you can give RHP people that number to use.

If you have a Skype account, you can get a Skype number for a few dollars each month. It allows calls and SMS to your account from any phone. Another, more expensive, option is to get a dual sim phone.

The latest ios7 updates for iPhones gave the ability to block numbers...I just use my regular phone number but am careful who I give it to out.

It's great to have so many suggestions! As we're both in mobile contracts it sounds like the Skype option might work best for sending/receiving texts if we can't locate the elusive app Meeka mentioned that gives a second number. :)

There's an app called kik. Free texts and pictures. Vids too if you get kik video. No calls, but you can easily put your number on private for that. No number sharing needed :D With the ios7 update you can block numbers, but doesn't stop them from contacting you using another number. - Posted from rhpmobile

Thanks, straight4ward, I'll check out Kik. The blocking with ios7 is great, but it does have that definite limitation!
