  I've been to most of the commercial house parties. I haven't seen excessive alcohol or any illegal drug use, and almost never seen any problems from guests let alone the hosts. Of course as a male I might not be on the receiving end of some problems that women might find. And of course as a male I've only been to the commercial parties allowing single men which are players parties and are designed to have an excess of men (mini GBs etc). I can't speak for any other type of regular event or location. I've only been in motel rooms under private arrangements with single couples. I'm sure lots of the horror stories are true, but so are the horror stories for any type of community. The best bet is to always go with someone or friends that you trust. Eventually, if you find the right party and location that you enjoy, with good hosts, you can continue going to that event, as many do repeat. When I was going to these events, I always went to the same event twice, as it's very hard to tell or judge based on just one occasion. The people and the vibe or atmosphere can change one week or month to the next.

  Get to know the people hosting the party. I've been to a few, try and meet the hosts for a drink somewhere. After all safety comes first.

  Yes we have one male host up here as well who thinks it's his prerogative to have sex with the single female attendees too. Not this little black duck but anyhoo. Just stick to the well known hosts and organisers. I, personally haven't had any problems attending on my own. The rules are probably stricter at house parties than at Saints. Everyone tends to know someone who knows someone in the party scene so any dick heads get weeded out fairly quickly. Chat to the hosts of the FLIRT parties down there and also CT (CountryTouch) who commented. I know both of these good people and I'm sure they will be happy to point you in the right direction.   There is a private party that l can recommend. MrJingles runs a good shindig. It's in the events 17th May, Private CBD party. Respect is given. No means no there. There are pushy fuckers everywhere but just stand your ground. No means no, even if you need to say it twice. Goodluck

  I love your questions Bathtime. It’s something I’ve often thought about as a male ....and the only thing stopping me is the views you have just noted . ......like I said ..I’m a male ... I’m sure it would be even more daunting for a single woman indeed . You would have to’screen’ all expected guests first so you know who’s who .   flirt have great social events based on socialising not sex , and they are great events for you to get out there and chat to like minded people in the real world rather than the online world ,and between most of the people at their events you could gather info an opinion and real life experience on most party’s in melbourne during the course of the night if you wanted mr b hosts having a must have sex with the females ,nope fuck that idea right off ,that’s not cool at all and have never bumped into it ,but sure it’s out there , but then again we are chipset and ask people we know about the party’s we are attending

  Boob_or_busted Mr B I have chatted to quite a few people, at S&S and wow. I’ve heard more bad than good unfortunately. What’s worse is no one wants to actually name the bad places.
