I wouldnt say they were the best band ever some great songs as u mentioned another one you left out was ' Its a kind of magic ' now thats a cool song. Now on the other hand i love Def Leppard , Van Halen , ACDC , now there cool bands and they rock but yes Queen are one of the best in the world Freedy was queen lol pardon the punt

Freddy Mercury did for a lot of his life, he had a passion for love and loved a man in a time where frowners frowned. He fell in love with a ladies voice, the best in the world, wanting to sing like she could was his dream. Freddy was the best for sharing his passion and life with such honesty and turned it with emotion into song, he did that the best he could and you have found the best in him. Who doesn't remember the car in Wayne's World Or the classic "We will rock you" - followed by the unforgettable "We are the champions" or "Another one bites the dust" I think I love them all. And for a while it was the only music played in my car that both my kids and I liked - lol And yet - I still prefer Pink Floyd - lol

I had Queen running as the soundtrack to a big drive today. It dawned on me that Freddy was the first openly gay performer that I was aware of, I love the way he's so open with his lyrics but way back when in the day it went over my youthful head...

Mado,I loved reading your response to Cheeky's question. Well thought out and expressed.Freddy was charismatic and talented - the ideal front man to a group.I think "Dont Stop me now" sums him up pretty well.

My partners 6yr old walks around singing 'we will rock you' thats a good 30 year time span difference and it still sounds good to and attracts the young kids! Wonder if any of the modern music will have the same influence in 30 years also??- Posted from rhpmobile

Queen is my fav as well. As a musician, its one band we find it hard to cover well. Always have a good queen song on my play lists every where i go.
