Nigel, firstly mate sorry to hear you required the service, glad it all worked out for you & yours. I thank you also for you efforts to push the barrow, that said mate & I certainly don't speek for my peers or the service but I for one will continue while people like you have the time, kind words and respect to do what you just did. Four days ago I was considering turning my back on a job that has challenged, exhausted & also thrilled & pleasured me. That short passage of text you have posted has just spurred me on to keep on keeping on. I thank you and those just like you. - Posted from rhpmobile

They do fantastic work! (Watching the Flying Doctors tv-series when I was a teenager was partly responsible for both me becoming a nurse and immigrating here.)

I can only concur. A bull messed me up pretty well at a rodeo about 4 hours drive from Mt Isa. They definitely saved me a lot of pain as it was only a thirty minute flight.

Having lived in many outback communities we would could not do with out them. Sad though they do not get more funding from the Federal Government. They supply an amazing service to this country.

I haven't had to use the RFDS but know people who have. They provide a invaluable service to many people. I choose to donate money to the RFDS through an option on my electricty bill. It isn't a lot of money, but every bit helps and if it helps to keep them flying I am happy to do so. They are the angels of the outback. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Funlover71' I can only concur. A bull messed me up pretty well at a rodeo about 4 hours drive from Mt Isa. They definitely saved me a lot of pain as it was only a thirty minute flight. When you posted that I could not help but think of the scene in the Top Secret movie where the two guys are dressed in a cow suit in the middle of a paddock and a real bull comes up and mounts him from behind. I have never lived in the outback so I can't speak how it is there....I can only imagine and to have people who are tirelessness work to provide a service like this, I have to say you should be honored.

Well, I did try to kiss him, that's why my jaw was broken in to places. I guess he was a homophobe.
