Sense of humor

April 26 2016

Ok so it's been said that one of the main things women look for in a relationship is a good sense of humor. So how highly do all you beautiful women rate it? What type of sense of humor attracts you the most? Eg cheeky, dry, smart ass etc etc

A bit of dry or black humour. If they survive mine, they are doing well

I know what humour I don't like, the sarcastic type, and intellectual humour is IMHO annoying, you know an engineer's humour, clever but too clever, kind of defeats the purpose. I like people I can bounce off, where it's effortless. Example taken from messaging, where they refer to the cougar and my prey. Guy today was really funny and turned me on with the stuff he was saying, it kicks off some funny each way sexy banter. So I like relaxed humour and black humour also, inappropriate, politically incorrect, bring it on 😃

Im still a kid at heart and laugh at silly things. Someone who can make me laugh is a keeper! Cheeky and smart ass. I like some humorous banter. I also find it very sexy.......laughter in the bedroom is a turn on for me

I don't like so called cheeky or smart alec humour and loathe being teased. Humour is such an individual thing, one oersons joke can be another persons insult. I have a male colleague who thinks his nasty remarks are ok because he is "only joking". There is an old saying "many a true word is said in jest" Q

Humour that I don't have to be told is humour. If you tell me you have a GSOH, have to LOL, have to tell me "it's a joke Joyce" ... it's a fair call to say we might have a different idea of what is humour. Usually dry, droll and self-depreciating. British / Irish humour is my favourite. Crass American style not so much But then I reserve the right to go juvenile and base, and oh-so-low brow. derp

I really can't deal with people who take themselves too seriously, I love a good giggle. I'm quite sarcastic / a bit of a smart arse myself and appreciate someone who can give back as much as i give.

Quoting 'Qefenta1' I don't like so called cheeky or smart alec humour and loathe being teased. Humour is such an individual thing, one oersons joke can be another persons insult. I have a male colleague who thinks his nasty remarks are ok because he is "only joking". There is an old saying "many a true word is said in jest" Q ...and I find the same is often true of people who are a bit drunk. People seem to speak their thoughts when inhibitions are relaxed a bit .

and shared laughter is even better. If humour can be shared or laughter/giggles elicited in bed, I'm more likely to stick around for another meeting..... Different classifications/types of humour, each have a place and time, I feel. Then again, each to their own =)Like the gorgeous Q has mentioned, I too am not so keen on the type of humour that is an insult cloaked in jest. Or narcissism parading as a clown.

Lol is like my nose....ya can't miss it in a fight lmfao But then there is my very clever type, as I peer down my nose at you all while filing my nails and shaping the perfect cuticle just before cocking my leg to fart and end up following through with a river of mouldy custard. Ok maybe that was my crass one lol The thing is, I like taking the piss out irony, people, and the situations I see. Way I see it, everything and everyone, including me, are fodder for the funny....because without laughter, we'd all be busting out meds for stomach ulcers..... And now....to end with a little saying of mine.... When all you see is grey skies, just remember, without there being some sun, you'd not know what colour the clouds actually are ;) - Posted from rhpmobile

Not the smart arse stuff, just the good ole Aussie pull ya leg sort . Someone said they don't like to be teased. You wouldn't like me then, it's a family trait and it seems the ladies we tease get a laugh too. No biggy...

I don't like fart jokes, slapstick or crude humour - I don't mind salty language, but, crude stories/jokes don't generally make me laugh unless they're told using clever and engaging descriptions. That might transform an otherwise crude story into something that makes me laugh. I generally prefer the "British" style of humour, as a child I grew up with shows like "Yes, Minister" so that probably explains why my sense of humour is how it is, and why I'll light up if there is even a hint of any Sir Humphrey Appleby action :-p (though only at the appropriate juncture, in due course, in the fullness of time) I don't mind humour that is a bit of a stretch and you need to do a bit of reading later to figure it out... it might not tickle my funny bone at the time, but I really like something that makes my brain engage, and figuring out the subtleties of an anecdote does that.

A sense of humor is an absolute must for me! whether it be having a laugh at me (with me) or at ones self, someone who is cheeky and a smart arse always makes for a better time.Humour is needed to keep a relationship going with me, even a partner in crime for some fun... no sense of humour and I just wont click with you. You gotta be able to have a laugh, especially in the bedroom.

I like jokes about nearly any topic, dad jokes, crude jokes, etc. I have got myself in trouble at times before, by using the wrong type at the wrong time. I've had thoughts that in my will, I will make sure that crude jokes be made about myself at my own funeral before anyone is entitled to a cent :) [If I have any cents left to give out, that is...]

Dave Hughes (comedian) said it best. When asked if being a comedian (aka having a sense of humour) improved his love life, he responded with this: "Being funny didn't. Being funny and famous did. So if you're having trouble attracting the ladies, try becoming famous". Enough said :)
