Silly question..... But does or has anyone in here have/had a real sex addiction? How can it be treated? Theres a fine line between wanting and having alot of sex and a real sex addiction. Can anybody here help me?

I'm not narcissistic but I like multiple new partners. I gain satisfaction and enjoyment from each partner and devote my time and attention wholly to them, but I love being on the lookout for a new sexual partner. I take risks but I rarely have unprotected sex (I am fluid bonded to someone). I have been called a sex addict by people who aren't qualified and I have no desire to go and ask someone who is qualified! I'm going to continue being me. Sometimes I am judged by my friends but this is my thing - we are all entitled to be who we want to be so long as we're not hurting anyone else. BB x

Sexual addiction is actually a recognised psycological disorder and as such can be treated. The first person to see would be the GP. who would then recommend a number of therapist, both psycological and psychiatric, depending on what was needed. It is all very well for eople to make light of these things and no, I am not a sex addict. I just like sex...a lot...but it is akin to obbsessive compulsive disorder and I can imagine would be somewhat upsetting to someone suffering from this. Fionabee
