Shed 16 for first time experience

August 27 2019

Hi guys and gals, My wife and I are looking at dipping our toes into the LS, and are looking at heading to couples night this Friday down at shed16. We are looking at having some drinks, a dance (if they have a dance floor) a spa and some extra entertainment if the right sort of person comes along. Just wondering what’s the turn out generally like, and is it a ok first time club experience? Any recommendations from people in the know on where to start out if this is not a good choice. Thank you - Posted from rhpmobile

There are better venues Shed 16 unfortunately (in our opinion) attracts a less sophisticated, bogan clientele (Seaford / Frankston ) . We went twice and encountered high vis vests, work boots and many predatory & disrespectful people. Their sister club BayCity Sauna in Elsternwick, has couples nights on Saturdays, and tends to attract a more “upmarket” crowd, although this will vary from night to night. It all depends on what you are looking for. We have our tastes and preferences and felt that we had nothing in common with the types we encountered at Shed 16. Call us tall poppies if you with. Others have commented along similar lines in past posts about Shed16 and so we are not the only ones who feel this way. As you are inexperienced and just starting out on your adventure, we feel that it would be best to go to a venue where you can dip your toes in gently without being preyed upon by ill mannered, pushy & disrespectful people.

You will see a variety of people at most events and clubs. We host social events and light play events that are especially friendly to people new to the lifestyle. Next event is 7 Sep at the Casino. Come along to chat and learn from others without feeling like you've been caught with your pants down!

We went to Shed16 on an event night. The single men outnumber the women 12 to 1. Only about 10 women were size 12 or under and I was verbally abused in the bathroom by a drunk, young, bbw. We have never been on Friday nights. Xanthea

Different Nights, Different Experiences As hard as it sounds, I would recommend trying to not buy into the replies that polarise a venue by the location or the people that live in that area, certain that they have been there and had a bad experience which has formed that opinion, however we have found that all places, no matter where they are, have good and bad nights. We started our adventures at the Shed and get back there from time to time, some nights are good, others not so good. We have been to the Elsternwick club many more times (much closer) and can say the same, some good, some bad. I would highly recommend going to a meet and greet, Flirt Parties host great event's as do a few others, from there I'd say take it at your own pace and if you are going to dedicated club's, go twice and compare the two experiences, hopefully not both are bad.

Our next Flirt Parties social meet and greet event is 7 Sep 8pm and this is our first event specifically for all singles and for couples who want to meet singles. Couples seeking couples will need to wait for a future Flirt Parties social night or else get to one of the many organised swingers parties already in the RHP events calendear Details for the singles event is here: https://redhotpie.com.au/Event/FlirtParties-Singles-Groove-Night-60708 Our usual couples social meet and greet events get 60-80 people, and 100-130 people to our 'open to all' nights. By far these types of social events are the easiest way to start meeting people. Also look out for the 5 Oct meet and greet event which is also going to get well over 100 people going along: https://redhotpie.com.au/Event/Melbourne-Spring-Meet-amp-Greet-2019-60805

The venue itself is fabulous though and even has a dance floor.

Avoid like the plague in our opinion! Thankfully we came across FlirtEvents and have never looked back. 😉

Thanks for all the opinions guys..my wife and I will talk it over and see which way will we go. Definitely sounds like doing a meet and greet is the best way to start.
