So what would make the ideal swingers club?

The greatest sexual organ is the mind. People enjoy some form of escapism and the ideal club needs to bear that in mind . The ideal swingers club will have a glitzy bar area , with lots of mirrors , glass and accent lighting (think Crown Casino) where patrons can get together and chat /flirt . Perhaps a dance floor with a dance pole, mirror ball and flashing lights. Good bathroom facilities with showers etc are essential as are a changing area with lockers for ones clothes etc. We went to a swingers club, in another country, several years ago. It had all of the above, and more. There was an indoor swimming pool , with Romanesque columns and other decor, romantically lit. A spa was incorporated too. There were various open & private rooms all decorated in different themes ( Egyptian room with sarcophagus glory hole box, hieroglyphics ; solar system room with a starry sky, blue lighting and paintings of planets, a Bedouin style tented room etc etc ) It all worked very well and created a fantasy atmosphere in which time slipped away and in which one could play. Of course it takes a lot of money to achieve all of that . The club was a gay club 6 days a week and we think that the gay clientele kept the money coming in . Many of the Melb swingers clubs are gay clubs too. Sadly though, little has gone into their decor. The playrooms are dark with black vinyl "beds" and no decor to speak of . We know of a few swingers resorts in USA & Mexico which are fantastic . An entire hotel resort dedicated to swinging. Australia is very far behind, and conservative by comparison. - Posted from rhpmobile

Completely allergic to sleazy environments..A club in a beautiful old Victorian terrace...three to four stories..beautiful decor, and separate areas for play.. Including a dungeon..if you were interested in setting up clubs as a business Dom,perhaps find out how London clubs. and. other overseas venues operate..Also consult with a designer who understands the needs xxFreya

Hey Dom, this topic has been done a few times and in fact there is quite a good suggestion list somewhere in the couples section. My suggestion would be to allow decent single guys in and to encourage male bi-sexuality. Swingers clubs should loosen up a little.

The club is but a venue, it's the people that attract people to a venue. From our experience visiting clubs the most important aspect of any club is the Host/Hostess - They need to be friendly, attractive, even a little flirty, have an interest in people, and have a sound understanding of the club and it's function, and above all know how to host and have a background in hospitality at the very least. Perhaps the ideal hosts for a swinging venue are a couple and maybe dressed in a club uniform.Everything else a club needs to provide are props and stages that encourage and enable patrons to interact comfortably and as discretely on indiscreetly as they want. We are humans so the wants and needs of everyone are too numerous to cater for all. The most effective setting/prop in a club we've come across is the swimming pool. They create the ideal environment to interact and has so done for us for many years. Spas are ok, but too small and don't cater for discreet encounters. So Dom, if you're thinking of building a club, design it with a fkn big heated pool in the floor, and quickly please because we need a venue over Christmas.

Would be nice if some of the clubs were a little more accepting of BI and gay men. Seems they have no problem with BI or gay women but I have been told it was not acceptable for us guys to play with guys, even though I always go to these clubs with a female partner. I personally am not interested in going to male only clubs so there is nothing, at least here in WA, that caters for BI males unless you do it secretly in a private room. I do understand why, they do not want to lose customers that can not tolerate man on man action. They are after all a business and need to make money.

we should preface this by saying our Swing Club experience here in Australia is limited to two clubs in our area, so there might certainly be ones that are similar to what we are suggesting: Programme: - always have a dedicated couple's evening each week- always have a dedicated gangbang or single men's evening each week- make a regular threesome night where an extra man or woman with a couple is allowed at a reduced price. - have regular parties that rotate throughout the month: something more than just..."it's couples night!" Come up with regular themes like: "eyes wide open" masked event, CFNM night, 80's or 70's dance night, Glory Hole party, Oil Massage night, etc. People like to have a reason to let their hair down and have fun. A nice themed evening helps to get things moving- increase the overall price of entry to parties or special nights, but make them all-inclusive (food and drink). We're ready to pay more if everything is included. Most of the clubs we go to back in Germany cost anywhere from 80-120 Euros entry, and you get a buffet, coffee, tea, wine, beer and a few selected cocktails for this price. Venue: each person is different, so this is really all about personal taste...but here are our suggestions- less dark, BDSM, cheesy sex studio and more stylish, relaxing and comfortable lounge atmosphere- ensure enough showers are on hand (with clean towels!)- provide lockers for guests- collect and mind guest's keys at the bar. It sucks going to a play area with another couple and having to mind a locker key around your wrist. Give each guest a number and take their names and when they collect they should have the number (infrared ink, for example, to write the numbers on their hands) and the recorded name. - be creative with the play areas, a few mattresses on the floor does not make a sexy atmosphere. Also, a simple bed in a room doesn't really ignite fantasy. - more glory holes :-)- provide for a separate room/bar area to eat and drink .- have a "porn theatre room" with comfy chair, couches and enough paper towels and condoms- have a dedicated couple's room- have at least one or two rooms that can be shut and locked- make a dark room for all sorts of naughty fun Policies and Operations: most places have the classic "a no is a no" and "be polite" policies which are important but...- police the play rooms, especially the couple's room to make certain that no single guys have snuck in (it happens often and is annoying if you're not in the mood)- have dedicated cleaning staff who clean up the play rooms (collecting towels, restocking condoms, drying things off!) and ask them to clean regularly (hourly, at a minimum)- maintain a "no tolerance" for bad behaviour policy. It's really hard to report bad behaviour during parties. mostly we just ignore unwanted grabbing hands or flocks of single men following along behind, but sometimes it's too much, especially when a "no" is not accepted. If someone is reported, eject the "offender" immediately, don't get into a he-said, she-said discussion with the participants. - always take the time to show new visitors around the club and explain the policies and guidelines. - Introduce new visitors to your club regulars, it helps!- offer a "look and see" day or hour prior to opening so that curious but shy couples can get their feet wet without too much trouble. ...I can see that I've reached critical mass here. Hope that some of these ideas are helpful!TnM
