Something Naughty Happened at the RHP Pâtisserie

May 11 2026

fun

Something suspicious is happening at the RHP pâtisserie. Baked goods have vanished without a trace. Several others were handled, squeezed, and then put back. Crumbs were discovered in places crumbs really shouldn’t be! The are prime suspects! I'm not naming names. The question is simple: Was it you? If you were baked goods, what would you be and who would be taking you home? And more importantly are you being taken home for dessert, breakfast or a snack? No wrong answers, but your choice will say more about you than you think. This should make for a fun thread and reveal who sees themselves as someone very delicious or who did something naughty. Well, now that you ask I don't mind a bit of crumpet. 😜😍

Mrs S will always choose a fresh plain croissant. Quite simple but deliciously soft and buttery with a lovely taste that lingers for some time after you’ve eaten her, I mean it ;). Delicious flakes of crispy pastry will find themselves into places you’d never imagine them to go. For me, an artisan pork and fennel sausage roll with a lovely thick home made tomato chutney. I have no idea what that says about me?

Hmmmm. If I were to be a bakery item I think I would be a vanilla slice. A top quality one with the passion fruit icing on top. The custard set nicely but with a wiggle still in it. Silky, delicious, sweet but a challenge to devour so you don’t know where to start. Bri

For me it is a hot apple turnover, arriving warm enough to fog the plate, its golden layers crackling at the slightest touch. Buttery pastry shattered delicately beneath the fork, revealing a slow, glossy spill of cinnamon-laced apples inside — soft, sweet, and fragrant. Steam curled upward carrying notes of baked sugar and spice, while the sticky filling clung temptingly to each flaky bite. Every mouthful balanced crisp edges with molten fruit, rich enough to linger and just tart enough to keep you coming back for another taste.

Since the patisserie is unlikely to have an ice-cream machine, that sadly rules out a sundae.....😔 So it has to be an eclair. White chocolate and almond (had to work the nuts in somehow). A nice, big, thick one. Bursting with all the sweet, sticky cream piped inside. Consummate indulgence. The perfect cheeky treat to spoil yourself with as a wicked breakfast, a filling snack, or a decadent dessert to sink into after a delightful dinner, filled with laughter and spicy banter. The kind of naughty treat that has you salivating as soon as you slip into thinking about it. Unable to think of anything else, until the moment finally arrives and you pounce, devouring it in a wild frenzy to sate your savage hunger. Savouring every glorious moment. The rush of pure, sweet joy that lights up every fibre of your being. Your pulse quickened. Your heat, risen. Moans of pleasure with every bite, every lick. That feeling of bliss as it fills you from within. Until finally, at the end, you're done. Filled. Gratified. Whole. Calm and serene. Dammit. Now I've made myself feel hungry 😂

I’d be a Hawaiian pizza slice from bakers delight. Not that fancy, but can be enjoyed morning, noon and night🍍

This makes me think of Brunetti's in Melbourne, Interstate introduced me to on our second meetup in a new city. Or going to the top 10 patisseries in Brisbane as brunch dates with Multi.
