Think I'm getting Christmas fatigue. One needs a holiday to recover from the holiday. Why is it that a really good time is followed by lots of nasty repercussions? Waking up with amnesia then treated as a leper. Being confronted by an unholy mess, then realising it you're home. The fridge and panty is gutted as if the destitute and homeless have ransacked your place. Your best friend slept in your double bed with his latest paramour. The empty bath is occupied by another unconscious couple… who you don't even know. Eyes not focussing and not knowing if its what you've drunk or your specks got swapped with someone who is technically blind. Then the long term expenditure ramifications. Who ever invented bondage was probably looking for a way to inhibit chronic shopaholic tendencies. How crazy is it when the same gift is reduced 20% to 50% on Boxing Day. How can you get up at 5am to participate in a sales stampede when you're hungover till lunch time… but cant eat as nothing will stay down. People don't want to divulge the purchase price of a gift, yet if common sense prevailed, they would hand over the receipt with the present. Then those unsightly oversized purple polka-dotted boxer style undies can be swapped for something less demeaning. Or maybe the dots are a symptom of this throbbing hangover. Valentine's Day is more like it, for one is often targeting a delightful another with an ulterior motive. Wanting to buy something nice rather than feel obligated and buy some crap. Like the shit presents from a family member who is into home crafts and pottery. Then offloading their many rejects. Not everyone can be a skilled artisan. Sorry for being on a downer… should be fully recovered by February 14th.

My wife gave me a watch so that I don't have any excuse for coming home late. Chrstmas day went well as I managed to get out of spending too much time with my sister. Boxing day was a welcome change because usually boxing day is when we all fight and storm off vowing never to attend another family Christmas. Pro_guy

We both got iphones and can't get over how much porn you can get as an app on that thing. Mr scc also gave me the gift that gives us both... ie sexy under wear. It is a good thing he has such good tastes and buys much more expensive items then I will buy myself. The best present I got was the smiles on my brother's families face when they opened their present from us.

I got a book and socks from my mum and that's it.Had a sms saying I couldn't get one son till the next day (was just about to leave to get him), and my other son came by for about an hour then went back to his mums.Had a frozen pie nuked in the microwave for dinner and in all I talked to one person all day which was my son.Yeah great Christmas...Bring on next year...

I got a keyboard (of the musical kind LOL) and some sheet music :) Unfortunately because it isn't full sized (it's just a cheapie) I find my middle finger gets stuck when I try to play Eb chord LOL. Oh well, it does the job for now :) I also got lots of happy little faces on Christmas morning which is the best gift of all! lovenlust...that sounds like a pretty crappy Christmas :( So sad that you didn't get to spend the day with your son as you'd hoped.
