Interesting post...We have often wondered how many of us out there swing. Wouldn't be surprised if it was more than 2% though, could be at least 5% and growing ;). Guess it's up to us converted to keep spreading the virtue's of how much fun you can have. Hugs to all you swingers out there!!

It depends on if your asking those which label themselves swingers.....or are just couples who have a few drinks and fool around with their friends! We have found over the year, about 90% of our vanilla friends with enough to drink the right environment , late at night will do "something" ....we NEVER go there with them, and don't want those lines to cross....as those people would be horrified we are swingers :)

It depends what you call 'swinging'.You'll find those who go to a party and swap partners to be in the minority, while those who like to fool about and not get too hung up on who's watching, and what the morning brings to be in the majority - on that overall minority.MrsSplicet

many couples/singles who only play 'now and then' wont ever identify as 'swingers', so no matter what you do, the numbers will always be at best....an approximate. a 'guess' perhaps. its not something we worry about.... tho there are some out there...and even here on this site..... who we see and think 'really? swingers?'........

... the only stat I know, which is that approx 2% of the Australian population practise some form of BDSM. That was pre-50 Shades, though. MsK x

Leesa, you should write a book, if you haven't already. We couldn't think of a person better in Brisbane, if not the country that would have the insite and experience to do a better job. the % back in the 60's would have been dramatically higher than the 80's perhaps its coming full circle and another explosion might follow. :)I know its much more openly talked about these days

2% I will say yes that sounds right..to put in better context...my definition will be PPL who are in some kind of long term relation who are together currently taking part in some kind of social / group sexual activity on a regular basis. If you include ppl who have been swingers in the past this may be 10~15% If you include ppl who had one off or very irregular activity at any point of time 40~80% You don't have to be Einstein to guess which definition adult industry will like to use for marketing.
