Don't put any pressure on yourself to play the first time you go. I have found that a lot of times that men new to the scene have performance issues.... perfectly normal so don't beat yourself up about it if that does happen. DON"T DRINK either on the night! Don't ever do anything you are not comfortable with or don't want to do. It is okay to say no. Have fun.

You will be freaking out at first so don't go in expecting to play.Go in as an observer, chat with whomever get used to the flow etc.

what you will realise is that most people there are quite nice, its just that they are mostly fat or ugly or old, so if you don't mind ending up in a group situation where any random / personal reject can play with you, you mite have fun, the younger more attractive ones tend just to want to sit around and talk and do nothing else.so basically you have two choices there, either play with an ugly ,or join the coffee chat group.

My advise take a female "date". You may also find that people go in their little clicky group and have no intention of playing with anyone else except themselves, not quite sure why these people bother going to private parties.

Just thought we would add our little bit to this one :) I think the key is if you are going to a swingers party then you need to go with an open mind and no expectations .... The idea is to mingle with like- minded people and see if you hit it off with anyone... Otherwise some people use parties to meet others they have previously chatted to online in a relaxed atmosphere (as we have done) I guess this is why some people seem to be in "clicks" as they may have already chatted and decide they want to play...? Just remember its supposed to be FUN and relax !!! It will be fun, we have met some awesome & very hot sexy people at parties!!! Xox

You do get to know people if you go regularly. The swinging world is not that big. So yes people get to know each other, but I always see newbie people been welcomed and there is always a regular keen to show them around. Also all the parties or clubs I have been to in Sydney all or most people will play at some point through out the night :)

We have been to a few private parties and agree that some may not be our cup of tea, however we have made some friends and we were also a bit biased about age and looks e.g. Hot only! But sexy is undefinable, some people just have it (the "X"factor). Some are older and smokin hot, we decided that looks is not as much a thing as we first thought....

Cant give advice as my first swingers I was part of a couple and jumped in. Oh will say this take your time and choose who you want to do it with as we did meet one couple and he was weird. It is more fun if you really like the people and not just swing just for the sex..

Have you got a friend you could go with.? Every time I've been to a party I went with someone... Once with my best friend (two of us don't play together hehe) and other times with my fuck buddies ;) Eases the nerves and you always have someone to talk to..
