Taby, depends on what you like? Sydney has a very flashy side and a very alternate side and everything in between. Yeah Establishment and Ivy are something to see but get out quick while you have any cash in your wallet although you're cute enough to get bought drinks by all the wannabe high flyers there. Get your hands on some of the free mags from music shops and the like, which will give you some ideas.Obviously the biggest "to do" would be us (sorry was just too tempting)If you give more idea on what you like then peeps can give better advice.Have fun!

Puppy's got it right - what'd you like to do? We prefer the outskirts of Sydney: 1. Brooklyn, about an hour's drive out from Sydney, for a nice, fresh seafood lunch. The reptile park is close by, too, methinks. 2. The Spit to Manly walk - take you about 4 hours strolling along some nice bush paths, beaches, and eventually Manly's Corso area. We usually stop by one of the hotels on the Corso for some nachos afterwards. 3. The Blue Mountains. Enuff said. 4. The Hunter Valley for wine. About 2 hours drive out. 5. The Bondi to Coogee walk. Nice, hilly, beachy paths. Plenty of things to do. Plenty of good food, too. If we're in town, we'd be happy to take you out to some of our fav food haunts.

Hi Taby001, There is plenty to do but as stated above really depends what you are after. If you care to elaborate what you are interested in I could give you some recommendations. Also more than happy to show you around while you are in Sydney.

Hey, thanks for the comments above its giving me somethings to think about, Ill be staying in the CBD on Pitt St, as I wanted to be in the middle of the city and close to most things, ill be there for about 5 days. I have never really been to a proper club as we only have one in hervey bay and its... well crap lol Getting around is the hard part for me as I have a limited budget and dont have a licence so cant hire a car lol so looks like ill be walking :( lol

Hi Taby Pitt Street is pretty central, circular quay, The Rocks and Oxford Street is all within a 5 min cab ride or 15 min walk. kings Cross is also not far either. Id forget the Ivy or Establishment if I were you, great places but pretty full of top end of town types. Bit pretensious and mostly suits. If you want to check it out its Good for a look friday after 6 for an hour and a half as its free champers for ladies. If you like techno and RnB then theres a few clubs doen at Darling Harbour, Home and Loft come to Mind, also Cargo Bar but lots of wog boys n Dramas late at night. No Offence guys but an honest sumation Im sure youll agree. You may like places round oxford Street and Kings Cross more. Where depends if you are comfy in the alternate/gay seen I guess. Always found these places more laid back. Sydney is a pretty full on place but youll be safe if you use your noggin, your a smart chicky. Only piece of advice I will give you is if your accepting drinks from guys make sure your at the bar when they order it and you grab it then. Theres some real turds out there !!! Not sure if you have paid for accom as yet but you might be more comfy round potts point the X as there are a lot of backpackers etc staying there, mainly Japanese tourists in Pitt Street and its not a very comfy place. Can think of a place called Lido Suites In Roslyn Street Kings Cross that is good value for money $450 for a week. Check it out on Google. A

Hey taby Sydney was just voted by the Yanks as the best city in the World to visit, I asume your staying in the CBD.....so thats pretty much central to all the hot spots, shops, Harbour,Operah House etc.....Busses go everywhere ! There a usually good live shows on at the casino, that might be worth a look ?.....I saw Pracilla, it was Awsome !....There are some nice pubs at " The Rocks" ! Anyway, it looks like there is no shortage of locals to show you around if you want to go that way ?.....I hope you have a wonerfull time. xo Tam

Whatever you choose to do, have fun! Just a note of caution - don't really know if this is going to bea surprise to anyone, but when we first came to Sydney, we were surprised at how uneven the pedestrian walks were. My wife and friends (even those who have lived in Sydney all their lives) have taken spills down the pavements while wearing heels, so you might want to be a bit more careful when wearing high heels. If you're interested in a nice place for dinner, come let us know and we'll take you out. Since it's your first time in Sydney, we'll pick a nice place and shout you - we don't often get to entertain friends from out-of-town. If we wind up at your hometown, then you can return the favour. While we're on that topic, does anybody else want to come along (assuming Taby agrees) and we can all have a nice, big get-together? Sort of a get-to-know-each-other gathering?

Lol. I have two sons, one either side of your age and I'd ask them to chaperon you but then my gig would be up. Oxford st, kings cross, darling harbour and the rocks are always interesting and within walking distance or quick train ride to the cross. You'll find fun and mischeif if you want to. Yeah. Do be careful about drink spiking. It is illegal but not uncommon. Third Friday of every month is "hellfire" club if you're looking for all the kinky fukrs gathered in one spot. The venue is off Oxford St. Lol Tammy. I'm too old for beautiful young women the same age as my sons, otherwise I'd have my hand up highest of all! Have fun in Sydney but if you get in trouble you know how to find me. Hugs Gazza

Pretty good reccomendations , however THE CLUB in the X is the one of the best going around , good sexy crowd , top music and you`ll probably run into some well known celebs . Right accross from there , you`ll find World Bar and Candys , a mix of pop , old school , techno , you name it , its all there . Did I mention we`ll be at " The Club " on Saturday night hehe , anyway have fun .
