verified profiles at least indicate that the person you're talking to is who they say (or paid off that hot chick from the office to hold up a piece of paper with a number on it and put on a sexy face)

You can't lie a webcam chat, you'll see them real and moving, which is something that you just don't get with pictures alone. That's no good for just checking profiles but as sydneyboy said, verified profiles are a good way of knowing that they are who they say they are. Also, validations are good if the people that validated them are trustworthy. If they've only got pictures and you wanna know if it's really them, ask them to take a specific picture (e.g. put on a white singlet and give me the peace sign) that they wouldn't have access to if it wasn't them taking it.

Well we have a set of 3 tests before we trust anyone for our pics now...1. Verified Profile and either rule 2 or 32. Webcam (we also make them move in certain ways so we know its not a recording)3. Picture with a sign on it with our user namethis way makes sure they are legit... but still doesnt get rid of the time wasters and couples/ single girls that are picture collectors

As youngperth88 said, verification, validation and web cam chat are all good ways to work out if someone is actually who they say they are on their profile but the next step is to see if they'll give you a mobile phone number.In our experience, those who are keen to exchange numbers and talk over the phone are most likely to get off their arses and meet people. We don't mind MSN but it's just as easy to exchange a few messages and then swap phone numbers if we think a date's the next step.

I think people should take time to know the person. MSN, Webcam, phone number are all good ways to check the genuineness. But sometimes photos and webcam can be deceiving. I have had some experiences, but what ultimately matters is whether the person is your type or not. And the only to do is, being in touch with over a period of time (Atleast a week or two) unless you want it immediately, you might just have to take chances.The best other option for you would be, clubs, pubs and swingers or singles parties (you know what parties I am talking about).Well, there are plenty of ways to get it right, you can chose whats best for you. But, remember everything goes down as an experience. Goodluck.

ive found that verification is a good step, but looking at the fotos they have up also... there are many on here who have the same foto on different profiles or just pull anything off the net and whack it up.. look for frequency of comments in the posts like this also..

Hey there, I can't tell you the amount of times we have had 'ladies' bombarding us with pics of them for pics of us in exchange. We say 'Pick up the phone, ring this number say 'Hi my name is bla' before we send any photos, webcam or continue. We have had a 21 year old flash us her boobs on cam, for no reason. Don't budge an inch if their 'web cam' isn't working, or they can't ring right now. Either arrange a time that is convenient if they no show - Delete, block, report. I can think of at least four profiles on RHP that I suspect are false. It's always funny when you meet other couples and compare notes on whose jerked us around. Also I think a BULLSHIT Button needs to be put against eveyones profile, if someone suspects they are dealing with a bullshit profile they press it. The only other way to report someone is to 'report abuse' which is at the bottom of the screens. Bullshit button means you just have to press it once, perhaps give a standard reason and then RHP can take it from there.

And don't forget the ones that soon after you are talking to them on messenger let you know they are going to go on cam and want you to come see them at their website....it's an automatic block. Some take a bit longer to work out than others these days, they are trying harder to make out like they are real.

Web cam is probably your best bet until such a time as you meet someone in person. Make sure it's reciprocated, though.

some of them have gotten a bit more advanced than just ASLwhere in 'insert your town' are you? "OMG, i'm right near there, do you know 'some place'?'where some place is a "hotel" she is staying at... of course, not so advanced that while the name includes "hotel" and it actually is just down the road... you can't stay there, it has no rooms. As regards to phone calls or webcams - we tend not to do those for several reasons. The first is we're here to meet people - and just because they show on cam or talk on a phone doesn't mean they will ever get off their arses and come and meet us. Secondly, the male half can be a bit shy and gets tongue tied when talking to new acquaintances, whereas on MSN you don't get those awkward pauses in a conversation (you still get the pauses but you can pass them off easier). Also we have found that with MSN people tend to be more open and if they very quickly start talking about us sending them more pics or immediately launch into how much they love anal, then the BS detecting starts screaming and we quickly lose interest.We'd much prefer to spend an evening or two finding out about people in this way....see if they can hold a reasonable conversation, make sure we're not looking for totally different things, and then arrange to meet over a drink somewhere. Most of the time we don't care even if we get stood up! - we still enjoy each others' company and we get to have a nice quiet drink without the kids :) If they do show, then we're on neutral territory and can move on to the next level :)I guess it's just a matter of what works for you. Yes, we have missed out on meeting some nice people because they have insisted on talking on the phone and we aren't comfortable with that - but we've still had our fair share of fun :)

Here I am, sitting back relaxing after a hard day's shopping... bundy in one hand..(ginger beer) and...not telling in the other.. happily reading your thready things.....knodding in agreement with some....having a lol or two at Jose's...shaking my head at the nonsense ppl get up to providing someone else's pic..like....what are they thinking??? ..and then it happened! A hair??...I frantically checked the pics...scrutinizing every pixel no joy there...stuck a 1000 watt globe in my beside lamp and searched for those stray hairs with as much vim and vigour as I could muster.. Suffice to say....Jose'......you are now on my 'spank list!'...grrr

We agree with 2more4fun that the phone is the best test of all. A guy can waste your time on msn pretending to be a girl or a couple but they can't fool us for a second on the phone. Our simple (and so far we haven't had a no- show or bad experience) is to stick to the following guide: 1. Are they verified? 2. Do they have any validations? 3. Will they provide face pics of both (if a couple)? 4. Will they talk (even briefly) on the phone? If they don't (or won't) then we move on. There are plenty of genuine sexy people on RHP who really do want to meet and have fun!!
