  So do you not talk to / text them at all before hooking up? What kind of time frame are we talking?I don't get the opportunity to meet people at a moment's notice, so I find that if I've connected with someone enough to exchange phone numbers, a bit of texting can help get to know them a little bit better before meeting up. But hey, that's just my opinion! You don't have to reply to them, you know!

  I can only tolerate so much then I text "Phone chat maybe better??".....if phone chat all good, if not then I know they are just in for ping pong....FOXY

  Would rather hear someone's voice than the beep of the phone... sometimes, however, one party just isn't in a position to talk so texting is the next best thing... all communication is good

  Ping pong requires two parties to play the game. My view is, there are three things to consider in your topic. (1) you are choosing to play with them, (2)... your profile and communication style and method encourages the game. If someone really wants to meet you, or be with you.... they'll move heaven and earth to make it happen. And that's a good segue to reason 3..... maybe they're just not that into you.   I think 6 - 8 is a good average of texting before meeting ? It's not enuf to get to know anyone but it's just enuf to give u an idea of what to expect when u do meet up ;)

  Stuff the texting i have had so much bullshit and disappointment in text messages and when you meet nothing like the messages meet for a coffee/drink somewhere public as the first meeting will decide if you meet again. This gets rid of the players and wannabes as there is always an excuse why they can't meet and you meet genuine people.

  and we say so in our profile. But we do like to meet not too long into it, we have found the long the texting goes on without a meet, the more it isn't going to click.
