  I also try to reply to everything... even just to say im not interested. I feel its just polite... only if someone persists after being told no, do they get ignored!   I would take "I just wanted to say that i loved your profile" as meaning that theyre interested and would like to talk to you further...

  We always reply its called common curtesy and good manners to reply when someone makes the effort to comment on your Profile or send you a message.   Sadly this site is full of rude people who have forgotton what manners are but thats ok...helps us narrow down our search quicker...heheh

  as i assume that the person is just saying exactly that...they love my profile...always nice to pay a compliment when you see or read something which strikes a chord within you...cheersjose...

  I guess like it says its a ice breaker question so its wanting you to reply in some form As a couple that are on the site and we get on during working hrs (shock horror) we cross paths and think that one of us has replyed and havent so sorry for that but we think if you get a flirt or a message and its not what your after a simple reply is all it takes just to be polite     n&m

  Hey guys I would say most people are just looking for some kind of friendly reaction.MY profile states ."I like sending a compliment.A compliment can be a wonderful thing ....It can make your day,it can put a smile on your face,it can carry you over till the next hurdle."But I find 95% don't   reply, not to a compliment or a funny joke .Yes, people should reply ,even a no thankyou but thanks for the compliment would be appreciative.Flummoxed

  Panda   They have taken the time to read your profile and might be just a bit shy.  I think it is an icebreaker and hey, perhaps none of the others really said what they wanted to say anyway.  I think we would all like to freeform flirts at times.  What is different from "I liked ur profile" in an online environment to "hey i think you are the hottest thing since sliced bread" in real life.  Guess u can take em apart piece by piece in real life....hehehehe. Anyway, just my thoughts. Cheers Lets

  hipandateddy i agree it is always nice for people to reply to winks or messages to profiles i also think it is rude not to reply doesnt take much to say thanks but no thanks or to agree to recieve or send messages  regards webby

  I always find it very flattering to recieve a flirt or message...   messages, i find, are easier to respond to because so much more can be said...   I feel we need more options for the flirt responses...   Both for giving and responding to flirts...   What are some suggestions????   xxxpandaxxx

  We agree there,   There should be a few more flirt responses. Sometimes you just want to say to someone you like their profile (as a compliment), but nothing more as they for example live very very far away.   On other occasions you like the profile a lot and would not mind that they respond to it and are interested in it. We have found a few times that the response flattery gets you everywhere means sometimes thanks and sometimes means also a we are interested.   xxxxx

  I find the worst is when they say love your pics, u look gorgeous ( or similar), when your photos are not even on display. These people generally get blocked.I had one message that said "I thoroughly READ not skimmed your profile, and like the look of your pics......"The person who sent it obviously hadn't read my profile, as I quite clearly state guys are to be over 5'11" ( I am 5'10"), and he was only 5'5"!!!
