To that too young, wicked hot checkout chick

October 03 2014

*This* close! This close, I was, to writing you a proper letter to introduce myself - making a big fuss with nice paper, impecable penmanship and sealing it in an envelope with tastefully imprinted wax. Having acquired those things, I then realised that I still don't know what to say. Despite that, I rather deliberately find myself at your checkout whenever you happen to be there. Those moments before either of us says anything and it's just this knowing expression and a hint of a smile on your face. I like those moments and I wonder just what you might be reading into my expression. But those moments don't last and I'm rather sure you're too bright to be working where you are for very much longer. You'll be done with university soon enough and then a successful career will spirit you away. All for the best, no doubt. But what if we weren't quite so mismatched? What if I were just a little bolder?

Perhaps the act of introducing yourself and letting her know of your attraction is enough of a connection, regardless of where it might lead. A small thing might change her life or yours in a totally unexpected way. You might discover a beautiful friendship. You might both just have the memory of a sweet and sexy moment to look back on. So many possibilities. And everyone loves to be complimented, so why not go for it? Assuming she's of legal age, of course. - Posted from rhpmobile

about regret In life, we only usually get one chance, sometimes you may get lucky to get that same chance again but don't bet on it Go for it Carpe Diem Leap of faith Life is too short Do you really want to live a life of wondering and regret? Sure it may not work out, but what if it does ? Good luck and keep us updated

I had one of those Gonzo. She was only about twenty years of age, she was attractive without being supermodel material.I would rock up every Friday night doing the weekly grocery shop at Safeway with my four boys. She would even open another register and usher me through when she saw me coming and we would have a chat about the football(we both follow the same team) or anything else. Now I am far from full of myself and I am sure I sometimes looked a sight with my work clothes on and four boys in tow but by the way she spoke and smiled she seemed to hold a small flame for me.(Even the 3 older sons picked up on it and joke to Mrs Luvsilver about supermarket girl)It appears your moment has gone Gonzo but all I can say is next time take a leap of faith. You may fall flat on your face or you may land on your two feet but at least you will know. PS to everyone. When I used to work at the local supermarket after school I still remember the hot checkout chick that wore the black stockings and long dark hair. She was 3 years older than me and at that stage in her life had no interest in 15 year old trolley pushers like me but guess what. I have now been with her for 22 years and called her my wife for the last 18 . Mr Luvsilver Mr Luvsilver

The other day I walked I to the service station on the phone using my Bluetooth earpiece. The lady gives me this weird look and then the penny drops and she says something like "oh...lol...you're on the phone!! I thought you were talking to yourself!!" Lol "hehehehe yeah I like to pretend they're just voices in my head ;)" I reply.... She giggles a little. I excuse myself from the phone call and the person that I was on the phone kept trying to distract me, so the lady makes a wise crack about she too is a voice inside my head.... As quick as a flash I fire back with"let's put it this way....if the voices in my head were as good looking as you; I'd gladly wear the crazy label ;)" The conversation thereafter ??? Could simply go anywhere ;) - Posted from rhpmobile

Been there done that senior Gonzo!! Mine was a very cute brunette who visited our records store to drop off the Express mags.. Normally a 5min job... 5min at other stores...yet sometimes well over an hour in mine.. Endless chats about god knows what, time flew as we endlessly chatted... However; I did find out the ending some 15 years later.. when i bumped into her and her new BF (now Hubby).. Unfortunately in my case my request would've been declined.. (she had a fella then too DOH!!!!l) Life's road has these magical twists and turns...if it was straight as an arrow life would be boring!! Three cheers for Luvsilver- Well done son, well done!! G :0

Don't waste the paper now...write to her telling her how much you admire her and how pretty you think she is. Maybe even suggest meeting for a coffee, drink or a chat sometime. The worst that can happen is that she tells you she's not interested, you might just make her day, week or life.Years from now you might wonder what if? This way you will know the outcome for better or worse. Some say the only regrets they have are the things they didn't do

I like your post. so sweet and endearing. such a beautiful couple indeed. Made my day. ahh take heart Gonzo that it too may happen to you. take that leap of faith and better you find out rather than live a life of regret. If it doesn't work out, it is still a positive outcome as you found out what you needed and not go thru life guessing. Good luck.

Quoting 'knots' A haunting thought, to spend the years to come thinking If only I had. Your 38 yrs old for christ sake....get your act togeather lad. knots Give the guy a break, will ya. sometimes it takes a bit extra of courage for men to go up to women for fear of rejection. I dont know him but he may be shy. Help him out here and am sure you can be more constructive to your fellow man. Gonzo, as per previous posts by people, just go for it. Smile and be honest on how you feel. From a female's point of view, most women would prefer men who have manners, are respectful and are more gentle as this is not so threatening to them. Keep it simple and nice, make her laugh if you can. Gets her relaxed and not so guarded. also make sure you look nice and clean. Lol. Ups your chances. Keep your expectations realistic but hope for the best. Good luck buddy. At least have some fun.

This way you will know the outcome for better or worse. Some say the only regrets they have are the things they didn't do the traditional written form is a beautiful unusual and unexpected gesture. Certainly will get my attention. But nice helpful tips Jack. I remember the days (before facebook and mobiles) when boys would slip a note in my locker in high school to say hello or ask me out after school. At uni, boys would come up and pretend to ask me for help on their maths and stats work over coffee and cake. Lol. I would get very flustered and flattered as it was really sweet. But that seems like gazillion years ago. Lol. Maybe this will not work with the 18yos. Lol. Nowadays, some men would come up to me in the supermarket to ask advice on some products (two weeks ago was on yoghurt. Lol) or vegetables. I see them coming and it is nice to be flirted with. But most are just harmless flirts and we just have fun chats. Most do not go further than the grocery isle. So saddle up and go for it cowboy... Lol.

Thank you all for your responses - I was emboldened. This afternoon, I made a somewhat unnecessary supermarket visit and resolved to offer a small gift, no matter the curious on-lookers queued behind. I have actually spoken to this young lady before so I think she understood my explanation and was happy to accept. Now I wait to find out if my taste in music is up to scratch.

Seriously if you like her you have to let he know, I did with a friend and she wrote me a letter once saying she thinks I'm cool just as a friend, but at least I knew and respected her decision. You know a girl likes you when she will chat to you without you starting it, I've found that out a lot. One girl worked at a sandwich shop and gave me really cheap chicken Caesar salad which was awesome, she knew food was my weakness.
