Tolerance and Sexual attitudes in different States

Am I alone in thinking that Men, women and Couples in different states have different attitudes towards sex, Race and Sexuality based on the state they are from? I don't mean to generalise but the majority of people myself and a couple of friends have come across online and travelling around Australia have brought us to the conclusion that some states are more open minded when it comes to sex, Race and sexuality ( I am not going to point fingers!) My Question is, has anyone else noticed this?

It's also quite a regionalised effect. Whilst our cities aren't models of tolerance, the further you get from the CBD the more noticeable the "isms" become. I also think a lot of people hide behind a vail of political correctness.

I am from Melbourne.While Bjelke Perterson was here I wouldn't even come for a holiday to Queensland...Queensland is very conservative ..similar to the Southern States of America..Maybe it's the heat..Cooler climes,larger cosmopolitan cities,more multi cultural...I think all play a part in people being more tolerant.so why do I live here?.I hate the cold 😳xxFreya

Qld definitely seems to be a lot conservative than we are used to in Washington state in the U.S. That said we do love it here and love the weather. We just figure that the more of us who move here the better it will be. :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Plus I've moved around a fair bit of Australia. I don't think there is that much difference. I think it's more in the communication styles. I've meet very well educated people in Melbourne that are more bigoted than anyone I worked with on cattle stations.

Where in Washington are you from? WA Funshine place to be. Having lived in NSW and spent time in Qld yes tolerance is not just state, regional but a world wide issue. Alive and well even here on RHP.
