Unacceptable behavior at nude beaches is about as un-Australian as you can get

August 14 2019

Recently moved to Perth and lacking vitamin D I head to the local nude beach as much as possible whenever the sun comes out and git gets into mid 20's. I go solo and take a tent, some gin and tonic and just relax listening to music. The problem that I have is that as soon as any time a female of the species comes within a square kilometer, like a randy mob of meerkats , all the pervs pop there heads above the dunes for a Captain Cook and start to congregate on her position. As if some statistical oddity of probability and geometric distribution, once a female puts her blanket down, she is surrounded with a large cluster of men in all-to-close proximity where only a moment ago there was no one. Worse still is that some from the pack will try and engage with her which usually results in her packing her gear up and moving, often for the pack to just follow her; Its some primal animalistic behavior the likes of which would give David Attenborough nightmares. My problem with this is:A) it are making people feel uncomfortableB) it is making other people uncomfortable; if we want to watch a awkward comedic scenario we will watch The Office thank you. cC you are embarrassing your entire gender blokes, I feel honestly sad that we share the same chromosomes. D) and most importantly, this is some of the most un-Australian behavior; one of the primary assets of being an Australian is a right to the sun, sand and beach and what you are doing is denying people access to this and its got to stop. I hope as the warmer months approach we can keep this in mind when venturing down to their local beach and tell other people to govern themselves accordingly and help make a welcoming place to every one as their is nothing more Australian then being able to appreciate the beach on your terms without feeling intimidated.

As a surfer and subsequent beach goer, I have witnessed this situation many times. It’s bullshit, and as a guy, I’m ashamed that it still happens, particularly in more remote locations. At Xmas last, down near Byron, I actually saw two ladies dig a sizeable moat around themselves to indicate their personal space. It’s come to that... or land mines. 👎. Obi1

Unfortunately it’s the status quo Meerkats tend to associate nudity (on the beach) as an invitation to behave in a lewd, disrespectful and predatory manner. The same happens on this site and also at swingers clubs on the nights that they are let in. It seems to be a male trait - testosterone driven no doubt. The unfortunate thing is that it will ultimately chase females (and couples) away from beaches, sites like this and swingers clubs.

Unfortunately some of our fellow men managed to dodge the evolution and are still displaying prehistoric primate behavior. As much as mrs loves nude beaches, I prefer to avoid them as I know myself. My tolerance for cavemen behavior from unevolved specimen are not all time high nowadays.

Cant even begin to tell you how frustrating it is, they seem to think because your naked your down for action. We find Warnbro to be more relaxed than Swanbourne but it always amazes us when you walk onto the beach set up with not many around how they can pop up out of nowhere like commandos.Would be curious to know if their tactics ever work though because all we ever see is animosity towards them.

It’s really fucking pathetic and I get mad as hell when I see it. I’ve done the heroic thing and told them to fuck off but you end up just looking like a tool trying to win favour. More often than not they just drive the women away. It’s totally fucked.

We've been going to Maslins for about fifteen years and honestly we don't see a lot of it. Yes, it happens and yes, it's bloody disrespectful, but honestly it's not as prevalent as posts on here would make you believe. Mrs here goes very occasionally by herself and hasn't ever had a problem. I look at it this way... there's arseholes at the pub, the local footy club, at work and yes, at the beach too. The difference with a nude beach, especially if you're single lady is that you're nude and that brings a certain level of vulnerability. I wonder if there's any more arseholes at your local nude beach than anywhere else in society. Anyway, all of that doesn't take the problem away, but I wouldn't discourage people from going to your local beach. If Adelaide is anything to go by, most nude beaches will have a community of people from on here that go regularly. If you haven't found them yet put a post up on here or include it in your profile, like minds will attract. While you should be able to hit your local beach without worry, finding people to go with is a good plan B.

It does happen at Swanbourne as I mentioned above but way more often than not it’s fine, I’ve been loads of times with or without female company and been pestered once (company) and propositioned once, alone. I have seen others get annoyed though and leave. There are a bunch of regulars at the south end who hang out together and that group has a halo of single women enjoying the benefit of numbers.

Do you believe that those who need this attitude change will be reading this, or out meerkat’ing still?

Oops sorry, can barely hear myself think Now where were we, nude beaches yes, the meetkats are disgusting/creepy/weird/lost their minds. But no worse than the fat old men who walk around wanking near you on the main beach. I would be a lot less tolerant now of them. Pack a baseball bat 😎

The south end is the nudist only end, the North end for the naughty ones. Well known amongst locals and aside from the meerkats bobbing around in the dunes close by, there would rarely ever be a problem at the South end. The North end would be awesome without the creepy old wankers and meerkats. Fun could be had between the normal sexy people 😄

A question for the males Why do male meerkats flock to the nude beach? Would they go to the nude beach if there were no females ? Are the females (and the hope of a poke & a grope ) the main attraction ?

It's basically a dead end, so people can only get to it by either trudging up the beach or going down from the top of the cliffs via the stairs. This seems to be too much effort for most of the time-wasters. I am always impressed when I go there how diverse the crowd is, and how everybody just leaves everybody else alone.

We posted a reply to a similar thread as this previously and got a reply from what would appear to be one of those Meerkats, lol. We used to frequent a particular beach on the north coast, but mrs is now reluctant to go because of the creepy behaviour. Our last visit went like this ... We went to the beach and found a nice, quiet and secluded spot. Stripped down, went for a swim and was sitting together on the edge of the water. Suddenly, a guy suddenly appeared standing behind us .... half hard cock in hand and said, “Are you going to get a blowjob here mate?” While still rubbing his cock. After being politely told, no .... then please leave us alone and then fuck off, he then proceeded to sit on a rock about 20 meters away staring at us and rubbing his cock. Reminded me of a vulture looking at a carcass..... just with a cock, lol. Anyway, mrs felt pretty uncomfortable, I felt really bad for her as well and we left. Now add to this that the beach is an accepted nudist beach, but not legislated as such and the council would love to close it off completely, these meerkats will eventually generate enough complaints and provide them the ammunition to do so. Oh and a different story that will make most of you crying as well ..... on another visit we were just walking through so we were still clothed. We walked through a narrow pass and there were several guys there who weren’t doing any harm. A girl about 18 (give or take a year or two) was walking alone approaching us. One guy stood in front of her flexing his hips and pointing his mini-penis at her and she was obviously uncomfortable. She pushed past him and kept walking, so he followed her. She walked faster and he kept up. We were concerned enough that we turned and followed him and only when he saw us, he stopped and headed back to where he was lurking. We stayed there until she was far enough away before turning back. So OP ..... Yes it makes people uncomfortable. Yes it makes other people uncomfortable. Yes, it is embarrassing to share the same chromosomes, and Yes I would call it unaustralian. The two stories we just shared then are both actually criminal.

They can't be because they wouldn't harrass women the way they do. But they are vacant when you try to talk to them, strange, like people in religious cults, lose their mind, so hard to know if they fuck men because women aren't interested. Maybe they're that minority group that have gone mad and turned gay through no other option? Yet the desire for women still remains? Just my thoughts

Most of them are gay, the ones I've seen anyway. So why harrass women? Whatever the case, it would be so good if authorities could get rid of them. Lock them all up on a commune somewhere and throw away the key

Couples too. My ex and I used to be surrounded, even after we bought a shelter tent. One guy even tried to come into the tent as we were having a picnic ( no euphemism there! ) You have to tell them to back off. We found that there is a spot a bit away from the dunes where you arent bothered by anyone.

Interesting observation Okey... Cobblers is the only other official nude beach we've been to and we found it similar. Cobblers seemed to have quite a community of locals and we've never seen any bad behaviour there. It might have had something to do with the beach being packed and a safety in numbers vibe, but not sure.

This post of yours seems to assume that you would be one of the normal sexy people. Public sex is public sex and the difference between creepy old wanker and normal sexy person is simply at matter of personal perception. Now personally I think public sex should be socially accepted and you should be allowed to have at it wherever and whenever you desire but we'd also have to tolerate others doing so too no matter how creepy we find it otherwise we'd find ourselves advocating an elitist class system with unequal privileges that frankly Touchy I'm not so sure you'd fall on the right side of and I wouldn't want that for you.
