Thanks for your obviously inspired post man. I enjoyed it immensely. You are so right my man! My sister has this cat. It's big and strong and independant and typically wants nothing to do with me. :) However!... I'm generally a pretty isolated person, by conditioned patterns, but I recently met a lovely woman from RHP and we got a little intimate. I felt really good afterwards and warm and fuzzy. I returned to my sister's place, where I'm staying while in Perth, and this cat was all over me, purring and rubbing it's head on my hands (like they do) and wanting stroking etc. My energy had changed and this sensitive creature sensed it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ It occurred to me some time ago, quite spontaneously, that the happiest moments in my life have come while "working" it trees. (Apart from holding babies ;) I'm talking those 'This is it! This is as good as it gets! Nothing else matters right now but this. This is who I am!' moments. I know at those moments that my life is successful, not in comparison to others but in having integrity with who I really am. When there there is no gap between what makes me happy and what I am actually doing with my life.

Spartanis, you are intelligent!, its not just a rumour lol. Remember i only know of you what i've seen in here and that has only been critiques of other until now. And then, wow... Funny your timing, i'm in the process right now of looking for a way of escaping my trade, one that i have been unhappy with for some time now and think i may have found it. Just a little time... ;). If we're unhappy with our lives change them, not a new thought but often one difficult to implement, with any surety of success anyway lol. It can take a little thought, a little planning and a little time for many people...

Show some softness and show the hardness beneath that supports that softness... ...the girls will swoon... and the boys will say "hmm... no idea what he's on or what he's on about, but if it works I'll 'ave 'alf" Shite, I'm so profound it's a f#@!ing profanity!! Keep up the good work... or keep it up... or write shorter sentences so I stop losing my train of thought... for a moment there I thought I WAS happy!!!! Succinction is a newly created word that defeats itself by taking longer than necessary to explain something that has already been clearly and precisely stated. Someone send this man to his room......

Hi Sparty, I read your post and was nodding in agreement at much of what you said. Yes, when we are happy and positive, others are drawn to us. And creative self expression is a way of maintaing happiness. There are definte links between creativity and health and wellbeing. I was at a conference on the weekend about that very topic. I know myself, playing music, drawing, taking a photo or writing creatively can change my whole frame of mind. I can shift from being in a place of depression and despair to feeling in charge of my life again. Last year I made a definte choice about my future directions in my career and I have replaced the security of bureacracy and a fortnightly paycheck with the freedom to do a variety of creative projects. While financially I am worse off, I am in a much better place, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I am more aware of what goes on around me in the natural world, like the arrival of some finches with the spring. I hear their chatter and singing and that of other birds, the sounds of the waves washing ashore are aq constant sound where I live, I see all the spring flowers as the earht awakens after its winter slumber. Yes, there are many ways to find ones self and I am grateful I have discovered my creativity and allow myself to use it to nurture myself. Go well Sparty and if I get to WA maybe we can share some music. Cheers Wild
