OMG I am doing that right as we speak. And I must be dumb but how does that stupid postal envelope work. FFS!! I considered the sex party... as a form of protest against the main parties. Then read they were giving their preference to Pauline Hanson. So that was a immediate no. Can I just say..... all the options were shit house. And when I did find a party I though may be worth voting for I can't find their preferences. So in the end it's all too hard, so I voted how I always voted, but not happily. Now just to get this envelope closed. Arrrhhh!!!

I heard that a number of minor parties did not submit their preferences in time and so they were 'allocated' them instead. If you follow their policies at all you can clearly see there's no way they align with One Nation's... Obviously too many feel overwhelmed by going down... below the but if this is the case for you BUT you really want to support the Sex Party or another smaller cause just go below the line 1 sex party, 2 the major party which you see as the lesser evil and then after that just fill in every box in whatever order.

Quoting 'Meeka100' OMG I am doing that right as we speak. And I must be dumb but how does that stupid postal envelope work. FFS!! So in the end it's all too hard, so I voted how I always voted, but not happily. Now just to get this envelope closed. Arrrhhh!!! Couldn't you just preference the way you wanted to ? You don't have to follow their "suggested" preferences - that only comes into account if you nominate just a first preference and leave the rest blank.I'm hoping you've always voted "donkey" for my children's sake ... no vote at all at least leaves the choice up to those who put some thought into it.Love your work (and the new profile pic is great btw) ... but I have to disagree vehemently with wasting your vote at a time when it has never been needed more.

Paradise Pair, you make a very good point.:)The Sex Party's platform - we did check it out before voting - is actually really good! So voted quite happily for them.

Vote for for the sex party and then the party of your choosing.......ie not Pauline Hanson. Ironic that the sex party is the only party that won't screw you !

I didn't donkey vote at all. I voted for one the main parties when I didn't want to vote for them at all. Well..... Truth is I don't want liberals in which is why I felt the preferences where so important and quite frankly the 99 numbers you have to state is a pain in the butt. I have never done that ever... Have always put the one in the box. That's it. I did go onto Big Kev's Facebook and told him what I thought about some of his policies. (It's true you do become a pain the arse the older you get. Wonder when I will start writing letters to the paper. Lol) But at the end of the day I don't want Abbott... Who is just plain dumb to be representing Australia. How embarrassment. :p

The lack of transparency is shithouse. I shouldn't have to go from site to site trying to find out who has preferenced who... And 9 times out of 10 I couldn't find the info. As for the sex party... I saw their rant over the one nation preference and their accusations against the greens. Plus their policies are ... Well not that great.

since we are talking voting, my biggest decision re Liberal or Labor is who goes last and who goes second last, I always vote below the line. The big two last followed by the christians, the guns and all the other fruit loops.I quite liked all the independents in parliament.
