Watched out first gathering

Mrs Curiouslily and I managed to attend the gathering at the Empire Bar on the weekend, though sadly we got there just after 11. This was our first gathering and we were feeling rather shy and curious about the folks attending. When we got there, drinks and conversations were in full swing, so we though we would grab a table in/near and just observe. It was interesting and helped us both come to the reposition that the next gathering we will be more engaging. Was it rude that we didn't introduce ourselves? You should of definitely mingled and introduced yourselves. And the Moto is "Dress to impress", don't look like some Bogan from the local pub, smell nice also..Good luck on your next one!

Usually the hosts should make some effort to introduce themselves and do some introductions...Its usually the quite ones that you have to watch out for

hello curiouslily , by all means u should have dove straight in but i can understand how nervous you wod have been feeling as well . saturday night was a very very good turn out and a very good night , even i met some new ppl that i have been chatting to for sumtime but have never met and wow there were some stunning ladies there . next time enjoy and have fun . welcome to rhp

It can be a very daunting experience meeting new people when there is a large crowd present. The fact that you didn't introduce yourselves is not such a bad thing. At least you stayed and soaked up the atmosphere. The fact is that no one else introduced themselves to you either. I am sure that you will make the effort next time and become more involved. Thanks all for your words and view points. It was daunting but it allowed us to see that RHP members are just people like ourselves. I think that due to lateness, it was extremely hard for others to work out if we were part of the festivities or not.
