Waxing - Regrowth Help!

October 02 2011

Hi,   Sorry if this has been covered before. Mrs Nude and I have been getting waxed for many years now. Mrs Nude gets the full brazilian and ass and other areas as needed, I get the full back, sack, crack and chest.   We have been doing this for 4-5 years now, every 5-6 weeks most of the time.   For most of this year I have had problems with in growh hair only in the pubic area, as has Mrs Nude - something we have never had issues with before.   We both use an exfoliating glove nearly every day in the shower.   We have been told there is a cream you can get that will entice the hair to the surface and stop in-growns. The waxing therapist says there is such a cream but we do not need it yet.   Other than the fact that it is annoying, the ingrowns and the bumps look ugly and are a turn off.   Can anyone reconmend a cream/lotion to use or any other solutions?   We were at the Nude beach yesterday and saw a couple that we were so smooth and not a red bump from an ingrown anywhere - thats what we used to be like, and want to get there again.   Sorry if this has been covered before...   Thanks,   Nudeones...

Did they change the wax they use? I find the strips can give you problems with ingrowns as opposed to just using hot wax which doesn't : ) There are a few creams but sorry don't know the name of them. Probably best if you google it. xxMeeka

I used to get a rash whenever I got a wax' til one day I took a tube of Savlon cream and got the girl to rub it on.. I've had no rash or ingrowns ever since and she now recommends it to other clients.. Savlon can be bought in most supermarkets or chemists... hopefully it will work for you like it did for me...

Sounds like you are doing plenty... I use to get some ingrown's as well and I did plenty to make sure I limited the affects after waxing.. asked A friend who is widely experienced within the beauty industry told me that if after waxing you apply like a isocol like cleanse it would help. Apart from that she also said the technique of the beautician is also critical, as some just pull away as oppose to be following the hair growth direction...

Hi!,We too sometimes suffer from ingrown hairs. We were put on to a product called Ingrow stopper (http://www.ingrostopper.com.au/) From the website, it appears that it can only be purchased from Essential Beauty stores. On top of the limited avenues to purchase this product it also come with a high price tag - Approx $30 for quite a small bottle. But it works for us, so have no issue recommending you give it a go!Hailey

We agree when swinging the norm is hairless male and female to be fair but its not quite that way a lot of males refuse because its manly.....no sure if the woman look is really hairless either, but nice for a change / treat!   A personal experience,We used hair removal creams 24 hours before playing, then as you leave home and out of the shower to meet your dates, a freshen up with a electric razor.   Well 2 weeks later infected ingrown hairs with imagine pimples the size of 10-20 cent pieces and its off to the sex clinic. No STDs just ingrown hair infected that left scares for months.....not a good look! The doctor reckoned give shaving a miss hair removal creams were far safer.   But we are leaning towards NO....just trimmed down to about 10mm long, our body grows hair there for a reason. Listen to our bodies? A Alternative?

I use the ingrow NO product or the nads ingrow solution at the moment, but a friend has just had her second round of IPL and has found it fantastic. I'm going for my treatment on Friday. IPL is permanent and more and more salons and beauty shops are doing the brazilians. I can't wait, no more ingrown hairs or constant grooming.

If it's good for a baby's bum it's good enough for me. Although make sure u don't use it just before yr going down. It tastes kind of funky.Oh - and don't get it all over the sensitive skin of a woman's inner labia.

We just had to cancel a play date due to an unfortunate waxing accident .Two days before the meet Mrs Funtwosee was getting waxed and they pulled her open too hard - opening a cut along the length of her inner labia. We had to get back to the couple and let them know that we'd need to delay meeting them for a few weeks. We had babysitting and everything organised. They were very understanding.

I was waxing for a few months last year. It was great for about a week until it started to grow back each time. Then when it did grow back, I had to let it grow to go through it all again - they don't let you shave in between. It was always a fight to not get ingrown hairs and overall for the week of smoothness once a month and $40 a pop, it wasn't all it's cracked up to be. Then I gave laser a go. Laser is only effective with dark hair and a light complexion. It was fairly painless compared to waxing. It cost about $70 per 6 weeks and no ingrown hairs. Each time the regrowth is lighter and lighter, to the point where there's hardly anything there anymore. When you consider the cost vs effectiveness, I would recommend laser if you're a good candidate.Jane
