Any book by James Patterson - I can pick it up and read straight away... Tv doesn’t interest me as much... would rather listen to music and in that my taste is quite eclectic and depends on my mood and what I want the music to do for me.. eg gym, relax, getting ready to go out, sleep etc

Currently reading Fifty Fifty, the second book in a series by James Patterson and Candice Fox. Mista is reading Shantaram (an absolutely amazing book). Both watching House of Cards. I finished watching “you me her” yesterday. Not a bad series. But also on holidays so lots of walking (usually around 8-10k in the morning), and at least an hour of yoga. Going to be a bitch when I go back to work lol Cheers MrsC

2 bizarre, mind bending series' that had us mystified all the way through... Memorable enough that my mind is still trying to get itself around them both. There is second series of Mr. Mercedes which could be described a a horror/mystery/drama coming up. Castle Rock, I imagine it will finish where it ended and I'll spend my life trying to understand the concept of time offered in the show. Peachy

Quoting 'EarthQueen' The Tattooist of Auschwitz Just finished reading 👍 It was a good book wasn't it. Sad of course but loved the fact that there was an Aussie connection. In addition, EarthQueen, I took your advice from quite a while back and purchased Tim Rogers "Detours"It's so beautifully descriptive, thanks for recommending it here on RHP.I much prefer to read about real people than to read novels.

I received Becoming by Michelle Obama for Christmas, devoured that in one day. Great read 👍 I am dipping in & out of Boys Will Be Boys by Clementine Ford. I can't read too much of it at a time without getting either irate or despairing of our modern society. So some easy to read thrillers are on the go as well.

I loved that book! I wept often, for many reasons.

I recommend it. As Jonesy and Vampa said it is heartbreaking but within the worst of humanity their love story was beautiful and the connections they formed that helped them survive inspiring. You get the sense that the author had a very close connection with Yale. I felt she did full justice to their story. You should read it. Vampa I'm also reading Tex by Tex Perkins. Similar vein to Detours. Tim Rogers writing grabs me more but not bad. Maybe get it from the library. I sway more to real life stories as well. Viewing has anyone watched Black Mirror Bandersnatch? Clever concept but it wouldn't let me chose my own adventure so I ended up trying to watch the whole thing which felt like it took forever and I'm still not through it. By the end I felt I was on a bad acid trip as well.

Favorite book of the year would be Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari - always wanted to know how we came to be what we are? This book is a nicely descriptive (read as not boring) way to get a handle on us as a species. Handmaids Tale was excellent as a TV series. I hear Berlin Station is the go of recent, and it's free on SBS (like Handmaids Tale).

It's one of the many Conversations I have listened to on ABC Radio, they're all pretty good, and this is no different. If you get the chance it's just a podcast away. It's time I broke my reading drought.

Mojo Either/Or, I say. I like Conversations as well and I like listening to podcasts in the car at work when I’m driving. I can’t always be bothered to read anymore especially in Summer. It’s like a sleeping pill 😂

Designated Survivor has been picked up by ANOTHER outfit, and Season THREE will be out this year..Wait for it ;) Berlin Station is a good watch.. currently in Season three..AND, if you are into that genre, then there are 7 seasons of "Homeland" which cover the "Bi-Polar" life of a Female CIA operative in the most interesting manner.Season 8 is expected to be the last of it - but hey.. tv. series are fickle.. both ways.. like.. they are bi-polar themselves ;) THEN.. there is Ray Donovan.. the American Irishman who takes a baseball bat into gunfights.. ;) But, as always.. the further into a series one gets, the cornier and less appealing the storylines get.ALWAYS best viewed in the first couple of seasons.. GOT is going to be doing a PRELUDE commencing this year.. 100's of years prior to the current spans - cast out of Northern Ireland, soooo.. if anyone wants to try their luck in a part.. go to Belfast on holidays and catch up with the casting teams.. Who knows.. might be fun

Just finished ‘More than Two’ by Eve Rickert. Brilliant book with great information on communication in any type of relationship (but focused primarily on polyamory)

Yep, a pretty awful portrait of the organisation for sure. His other series are a bit of an eye opener as well. Enjoy! P.S. I hope I don't get a legal letter because of this post.

Reading: Old Man Logan. Graphic Novel, basically what Logan is based on. Very draining. No More Humans. Graphic Novel, an alternate X Men timeline where all the humans disappear one day. The Boys. Series of Graphic Novels. A very gritty series that explores how people would likely react if superpowers existed. Corruption, crime and substance abuse are rife, and superpowered people act with impunity. Magician (for the 3rd time). Novel, High Fantasy. Lots of stuff happens Watching: Bandersnatch, the Black Mirror choose your own adventure on Netflix. Star Trek Discovery when the next series drops. The Good Place, great show. Playing: Red Dead Redemption 2... by far the best storytelling, cinematography, and plot of any game I've ever played. I hadn't played a video game in almost a year and I'm so glad I picked this one up. Hearthstone. Wizard Poker. And trying to do all that between starting Thai Boxing, Archery, a New Job and trying to get my end wet.
