I’d say it’s individual to the couple, their sexual preferences and what they are looking to get out of the evening.

Definetely individual to the couples preferences etc. For hubby and I we prefer alot more males (Bi) than females.

Even when ratios are 1:1, by later on there are always extra makes floating about. We go against the prevailing flow and vote for even numbers.

We prefer an extra 3 or 4 guys at a party (if there are say 7 or 8 couples attending) as there is less down time for the girls. It is easier for us to want to keep going after orgasming whereas guys need a bit of recovery time. Too many spares can make it feel like a production line (which is fine every now and then). Also nothing makes me feel more special than having two guys making me the centre of attention.Ann

Wow... unexpected results so far with the majority preferring more men. Personally, I prefer slightly more women as it can make for some hot girl on girl play and which man doesn't like playing with two women? Nothing hotter than two cowgirls riding the guy.

Even number for us as said above if numbers start of even there always extra people floating around soon enough without their partners or with there partners but there partners had their fun and happy to watch or go chat close by Mr b

We think more than 4 people is getting large for us and we think the more guys there are the more it might feel like a meat market. If we had to choose our ideal large group it’d be 2:1 female to male this way the guys wouldn’t be lining up to fuck whatever was available but there’d be choices (Mrs S likes a little connection) and there’d be plenty of women around for Mrs S to discover.

We like things quite even but if you're talking a group of 13, perhaps 5 couples and a single female, two single males would be about right to cater for most.
