I find interesting profiles here for women in their mid 40s and find I'm older than the guys they're looking for. Which is a shame as I definitely have the emotional complexity and wisdom of a much younger man. Also Summer_solstice and Softglove, I believe it was Sophia Loren who said the secret to seeming ageless was not to make old people noises when you get out of a chair. Sex noises getting out of a squat is probably ok, but you might want to keep an eye on that

I have to make my way through an online training in the coming weeks - watching videos of a 20something year old lady presenting. It is absolutely doing my head in...it is full of "emmmmss"..."ahhh".."wellll "aaaaannnddd" aeven the clicking of the tounge when she is lost ...talks sooo damn slow it is putting me to sleep in the morning... I counted 7 "emmms" in 2mins of recording... 7! and this is a tutor someone who would have received training in public speaking or presentation at least...

... do not feel old at all! People often think that I'm much younger than I am and I do not have kids to remind me that I'm from the age of dinosaurs, so I'm ok. :) Otherwise, just surround yourself with people who are older than you, so you'll always be the chickadee of the group! :D

I actually have done the opposite....most of my friends are at least twenty years younger than me. My daughter is 31,and I work with 12 -13 year olds...It's only my body that makes me feel old..and yes I knew you were joking xx Freya

I don't know if it's always feeling old per se but... Having different cooking/ingredient items out and initially going to put them back in the opposite places to where they belong. Or turning on the wrong hotplate/oven switch and wondering why dinner isn't getting hot... or why something is cooking that isn't supposed to be! Having to take a nap from not doing anything. Having another look at dating sites I've been on long term, and realising I need to keep updating my seeking age group as I age... eg 18-24 was fine when I joined, but now I'm 10-15 years older I need to adjust it somewhat...

Ok everybody wait until you are on the wrong side of 60 like me. I live life for what it is and do not stress out on anything. I just accept that "you are as old as you feel" (or should that be "as old as what you are feeling") and it now takes me all night to do what I did all night. (sometimes with the aid with a little pill). PS: yes I groan when getting up from a squat but it is the cracking noises from my knees that drown out the groans that are more of a worry.

I was recently in a bar chatting with a gorgeous guy, things were going really well right up until he suggested I could 'brag' to my friends that I'd had sex with a guy young enough to be my son. Oh dear. Needless to say I hastened the conversation to a close and beat a speedy exit.
