  Unfortunately I had the same thing a while back, lucky for you your smart and do what I do....good old reverse image search. I always like a video chat with a potential play mate and if they baulk or make excuses....blocked and reported. It sucks, but as they say, if it's too good to be true....it usually is. Hopefully you don't have anymore issues moving forward and you can enjoy the genuine RHP community.

  yes saw a profile locally that looked too good to be true. The image was a stock image from a website. The “woman” had contacted other friends so I warned them. A month or so later the profile is no longer online. Weird though if you are getting them from paid accounts. verification can be faked so get that

  All verification does is prove they are an actual person and not necessarily the same person in the profile photo, noting many don't show faces so hard to compare But I always ask to verify before chatting and always do a reverse image search

  Report them first before you call them out otherwise someone else has to do it. Then by all means abuse them for being fake.

  And it seems the people doing this is mostly not women. Like setting up a single female profile and downloading pictures and so forth. I don't understand it, but it happens a lot. At least it's only your time wasted. Imagine connecting someone on the forums and after a while meeting up and becoming FB. Then when looking at old forums discovering this person had reinvented themselves. As in they got found out and then came back as a completely different persona with a make-believe back story. Lucky they were just horny and not malicious. You have to be very very careful with who you put your trust in. Weird world. Shells

  Does anyone else ever read these posts and have that “people are strange” song in their heads? You know the one? Yeah catfish are strange and some of the comments slightly odd … but as we say in York “nowt so queer as folk..” But yeah people are strange. I’ve had a few catfish experiences and they leave a bad taste. Happens less and less these days but it’s an occupational hazard i suspect so I’m still vigilant… There’s also those odd-bods who create legit profiles but never have any intention of meeting IRL. So they’re not necessarily here to catfish but rather just want to engage in the fantasy and chat chat chat *yawns* because they don’t really want anything beyond an online fantasy. Odd but oddly human ….

  I just got catfished well at least I think I did. On a reverse image search they seem to have stolen a couple profile picture from an unlocked facebook account. I’m considering letting the facebook account owner know.
