When travelling how do you store your toys?

November 26 2011

So Betty and I have put together a pretty decent collection of toys over the years - but - what do you use to carry them all around in on your adventures? We've looked at bags, satchels and 'tool' boxes - and we're keen to known how others have approached this.

we spent a weekend down the coast a couple of years ago...and Shel had this little patent leather case i bought her, for all her goodies etc.... we, being in a constantly 'naughty' mood, always travel with the bag. however, upon return we discovered we'd left her bag....and all its contents...under her side of the bed...lol.... i rang the hotel (Marriott) and spoke to a sweet young thing who told me 'yes theyd found our property' and if i'd 'describe the contents' i was more than welcome to come and collect it....needless to say, i was there within the hour, on the trusty 'Ducati' and returned to my loved one with her bag of 'tricks'............lol. remember turning 4 shades of red tho, when the girl handed me the case...

Quoting 'celebree' have one (3) actually .. custom made so that each item has its own pocket, place for spare batteries .. machine washable .. rolls up and secures with Velcro . a place for everything and everything in its place .. Jewelry containers - not a bad idea - custom made - now thats even better. If we could attach photos to the forum! We had an interesting discussion at Bangkok airport when our carry on bags were inspected. The lady inspecting pointed to a glass toy as asked 'what is this?' - to which I loudly replied 'it's a dildo'.Needless to say we were moved through rather quickly leaving a somewhat embarrassed and ashen faced security officer to process the remainder of the plane. We still look back on that and laugh ;-)

We travel quite alot and I always thought in countrys such as thailand they could frown on such play things and might confiscate them and throw us in the clink. So when Mrs J asked should she leave her vibe at home' I told her yes, not worth the risk, and that was that... least thats what I thought..Low and behold, a few days after enjoying our holiday, Mrs JJ pulls out her vibe from the bottom of her bag ?? Sneaky bugga ignored what I said and hid it without saying anything.. Anyway' all was OK as we got back through customs in Phuket and Sydney without a problem also. Dont know if we were just lucky or not..I bet Im not the only hubby whose wife sneaked the toys before ? lol

I just put my favourites in a toiletry bag for travel and smile at the security people at the airport. I mean they have seen it all before anyway.

Interestingly I've looked over the shoulder of the Xray operator while a bag has been scanned.Oddly enough a glass, penis shaped dildo looks exactly like a glass, penis shaped dildo when Xrayed - except its bright green ;-)

I dont have to. These things are not illegal and I am an adult. If questioned I would just still smile sweetly and say "Yes I do intend to have / have had a fantastic time this trip"

If questioned I would just still smile sweetly and say "Yes I do intend to have / have had a fantastic time this trip" just more thinking on keeping things need and tidy no matter where you are going .. local interstate or overseas ..Had an issue a few years back .. where I had no issues or problems with taking assorted toys with me to France and England .. BUT .. forgot about the 4 day stop in the UAE and Saudi Arabia .. so before leaving England .. I well wrapped assorted items .. and posted them back to my self in Australia .. With the rules and recent events in Dubai .. I didn't want to get arrested over there for having things which they disapprove of ..

no....these things are not legal everywhere you travel, and could land people in deep shit. India for instance have very strict guidlines on what is prohibited...sex toys are on their banned list........ Singapore has similar.... toys are considered 'pornographic' in nature...and pornography is illegal there.........interpretaions of the laws by the person inspecting your luggage could put your ass in hot water. leaving them at home is the safest option...especially when overseas travel looms.... we all remember Mackay airport being shut down for a bomb scare that turned out to be a discarded vibrator tossed into a waste bin..........dont we?

We usually just chuck stuff into a pillow case or sometimes use a prepacked pillow case as a quick grab bag & throw it in the case. When going on flights the batteries are removed & stored safely (don't want the plane to catch on fire now do we) until ready for use later. Have never noticed bags or battery storage containers in the sex shops.

One very important thing to remember (maybe it's been mentioned, but I couldn't be bothered filtering through all the chat about boxes and pillow cases) is to take out the batteries. I have seen a very tired rabbit come out of an overnight bag which vibrated and twirled and twisted from Sydney to Melbourne. It was pretty shagged when it got here, and the circuit board (ok - I had to have a tinker didn't I!) was blackened along with that delicious burnt electrics smell. Could it have caught fire? Most definitely, it looks like it tried to.. On a plane no less! So remove those batteries before you board.

One I would not have thought of actually. I would assume that anyone travelling overseas would be aware of the laws of the country they are entering. I wouldnt be taking any toys overseas anyway. Not there to play and if I were I would be wanting to sample the local flavours not home grown ones.

Anal intruder goes in the bum-bag. Duo- Balls in the pocket. Dildos and dongs get wrapped in glad wrap and are stored in the over-head locker.
