What they mean the technology to keep someone alive indefinately will be delevoped in our lifetime, and somebody alive today will be able to experience it.. I never really was an early adopter of technology, wjo wants to live forever as an 80 yr old, ill wait for version 2 to come out and be 18 for the rest of my life

If we all stay here, there would be no space for nippers, which is intolerable. There would be only us. It would also be deadly boring after a while - I would happily do a couple of doctorates and spend 20 years learning chi gong, maybe 20 reading all the books I haven't read, but even that would pall after a while.I would be happy to have it over again just once, to avoid all the fuckups I have made in my life, but then again, I am so good at fucking up it would probably happen again. If I had my druthers, we would motor along to 60 or 70, but in good health, and then kick off quickly and quietly with no pain. Except, of course, for vegetarians and christians who would be put on a st andrew's cross and carefully roasted.

Not sure if that was a serve or not; if it was I may have lost, in some obscure manner. Freya just rolled me in an exchange of messages, now it happens on a forum. It may be that it is my time to be gathered. If I lived forever, I would get rolled possible 4 or 6 times every hundred years. How can human flesh, even as humble as mine, endure?

the life expectancy of any given species is determined by their skeletal structure, according to our skeletal structure we should live to around 125 years. Just goes to show what science knows, how many 125 year olds do you know?

a good life with family and friends and lots of fun. Then let the next generation take over and when it is my time I (hopefully) go to sleep one day and never wake up. Mr Luvsilver

My life has been good but the one thing I would want is to be loved like as in GHOST. As for living long well only if healthy and not stuck to a machine or in great pain. Being younger longer would be interesting.

an interesting solution for colonising the universe !If you could extend their sanity for the same period of time.I wouldn't want to end up like Captain Jack/The Face of Boe though !

If we lived forever that just means we have to work forever. We work in our younger years trying to get closer and closer to that retirement age so we can celebrate the fact that we don't have to work anymore. If we lived forever, there'd be no retirement.

I love your profile picture.....No one will live forever.....I was once told that when we have learned all the lessons we need to learn in this life time, it is then our time to pass away and go into another life.... Now that is only something that I heard, and it has made me think....There will be many many opinions and theories out there.... I just want to live my life happy and try to be a good person and when my day is up, I hope my euolgy is very erotic, honest, funny, sensitive, couragous, sexy and ppl walk away from my funeral with a smile on their face and a tear in their eye....

OopsMy 'heh' comment was based on my thinking you were suggesting I like these forums, and would wish to be on them forever. Hence my incomprehensible comment. But on reflection I see that you used the word 'like' as meaning 'resembles' and that eternal life, with all its boredom, would be like the forums. Your comment was very clever, and I am wracked with guilt for misreading it. Wracked. Torn. Which means, I guess, that I should be gathered sooner than I thought. In the meantime I have advertised for a suitable person to check my posts for sense and appropriateness before I post them.
