Apart from not being so shy or worried that someone might see them as "silly", I would think Wiser and able to share the humourous side as well due to their life experiences. ET xox

I prefer to use the phrase "oversexed senior citizens" Contrary to what the younger generation thinks, life does not end after one reaches 45.

You can refer to yourself as an "oversexed senior citizen" but you may want to leave the rest of us out of that!.My Nan live to 100 and 44 days....based on that, I have only just reached middle age thanks.

Well there is that 84 year old woman from Perth and WeeRobbie...that would throw the bell curve right out of the tower. | I think of myself as somewhere between 40 and death...and hopefully closer to 40. Don't know though, all the rejection... | ...is killing me fast. | | Smooth..."save my life" sex?

i know 1 reason for this. The forum regulars are already in a click. I've tried to participate in the RHP forums in the past and have felt like iam being unwelcomed. When i first joined i tried posting in the forums daily maybe 3-6 topic replies per day but i find that that nobody really replies to my posts or even acknowledges or is interested in my replies unless your already in that click. if stalky wrote a post. no matter how stupid or silly it is. 10 ppl would reply to him but i can make an intelligent post and nobody would talk/reply to me so i kinda get discourage from participating. I have a hunch that maybe my posts/ opinions are ignored because of my age and the"Click "of 40+yr olds just aren't interested in a young persons view.

That's why Mrs and I make seperate postings. It's not because we are individuals and have differing opinions on the various topics, it's all a devious conspiracy to lower the average posting age. LOL (Mr)

I have a hunch that maybe my posts/ opinions are ignored because of my age and the"Click "of 40+yr olds just aren't interested in a young persons view. Sure, but 5 of the replies to Stalky's post would be from Meeka...I prefer to play with considerably younger women, so there's absolutely no reason why I wouldn't want their opinion. Some women that I've dated from outside the walls of RHP who have been my age only want to discuss things like which suburb would be wise to buy a rental property in or will the warranty on my beamer cover the blah, blah, blah...Everyone here has something to add. Maybe you need to take a more Zen approach to posting - the less you care whether anyone will answer your posting, the more likely it will be to happen. Either way, don't give up.

If you want in, just elbow your way to the front - that's what the rest of us do. There is no clique - if what you say strikes a chord, you'll find yourself more involved... for better of for worse. It's a very egalitarian community, but that means that we're all subjected to a slap-down if we slip up. Perhaps that's one of the reasons many posters seem older than you - we're less concerned about being chastised. Also, let's face it - you're 25, so most of the site has got to be older than you!

I do about 5 or maybe 6 posts a day butvim not buying into this click business. If I'm prompted to reply to something it is usually only because something pops into my head and I blurt it out. Sometimes there's an undercurrent relating to events outside the forum so that might give the impression of a click... you know... if you were there and know, then you know... if not you could be feeling disadvantaged. If using this site and forum to actually meet people is somehow isolating you, then there's only one thing for it... that is, to meet people through this site and do exactly the same thing as I do... if there's a click, then there can be two.... or twenty two. In the interim, any 25 year old babes and toy boys who want a Daddy... know where I am! Hugs Stalky

I may have even sent you a message or flirt not long after you joined. . Whilst I can't speak for my older, greyer, creakier peers, I do not think your opinions are ignored, not by me at any rate! . And if you'd like a friend around here, send me one of those shitful flirts one day and I'd be more than happy to show you mine if you show me yours!

It takes a fair while of regular "civil" postings from a person before the moderator decides to allow you to post instantly. Some of us therefore have instant posting privileges.... which on occasion get revoked for bad behaviour or at other random times at the whim of the moderator... lolz.. In any case, that's the reason your posts take more time to appear compared to some others.I may have unintentionally posted something like 100 or so wonderfully penned pieces of scribe every day way back when.... and sooner or later the moderator must have gotten weary from reading all that banter .... ancient history.. but that's when RHP introduced instant posting privileges... and then of course.... indiscretion got the better of me and my account was frozen for a while... lolz... I'm fully reformed now butt.... at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!HugsStalky Quoting 'eagertongue4u' I have noticed lately that posts in the forums from the "regulars" seem to get approved much faster, like even same night, than the posts of us "newbies". Anyway that's my experience or maybe i am just boring. By "foot in the door" you're implying that you've been excluded, whereas like everybody else, posting liberties have not been denied to you.... or anyone..... well excepting for a few crackpots. From my perspective posting is not just about getting responses, it's more about exposing something of your character to prospective friends and lovers, isn't it? That seems to be what most of the guys post for anyway. But really... it's not as if every post gets read so its unrealistic, in this format, to expect people to reply. There's so much written that nobody can possibly choose to read it all.... And I wager most people do not venture past page 1... Also, there's an activities page on my home page that tells you when a contact has responded to a topic you've been involved in... Unless Ive got plenty of time, I just read that activities page and, if inspired, click on the particular respondent's contribution.... I'm also sure other people do much the same. Of course they're unlikely to read every post.If there is a cliche.. I think it's partly a side effect of this forum format.. and partly human nature. What are we going to do about that?HugsStalky

Surely on some level this is all about getting people's attention? Whether you're trying to get people to click through to your profile, or you just want to discuss something with others, it's all about whether or not you're seen and acknowledged. On a site that is all about mixing with different people, surely only reading and responding to posts made by people you know is a bit... pointless?Cheers,MS(the female half) Quoting 'stalky' Quoting 'MissWantu'I have in the past in an attempt to try get my foot in the door have replied with jokes aiming and directing at certain people and ask certain peoples questions but get no response but then they reply to the person below me which didn't even ask them anything. I have lurked here for a while. Sometimes I am interested and have an opinion and I air it. Sometimes I read interestedly to find that fifty other people have said what I would have so I keep my mouth shut. Other times I open and scan through, yawn and move on. There are other forums and places to entertain yourself in the big wide world of the internet. What surprised me though is that even though I haven't grabbed the attention of the 'clique' and become part of their in jokes etc when I am out and about in the real world meeting actual people in the flesh I am surprised by the number of people who say to me "Oh yes I saw that thing you wrote on RHP" None of these people ever reply but obviously they read. Another thing I have noticed. (This is easy for me because we get about five profile views a month). If I post a response in a forum the number of profile views goes up. So I know people do read even if they don't reply. Obviously for you being 25 and having a vagina that wouldn't make a difference, your inbox would be overflowing by default. Anyways I am a year off being 40. If you genuinely are interested in conversing with an older woman drop us a line. Mrs Jones.

I do this too because the topics are interesting and enjoy the banter with the people I have met. Nothng to do with the age thing, nor the profile thing. Certain topics attract a certain age group. Please do not be disheartened or a little pissed off, every post has it's merits and interests. To be honest I regularly check Forum Topics every day and just reply to the ones I am interested in and have an interest to post on. xxx Keep on posting xxx

I said, only reading and replying to posts from people you know could be construed as pointless on a site that exists to connect people with others they don't know... Sure, people post for a variety of reason, but on some level they want attention/acknowledgement otherwise they would just be talking to themselves. Cheers, MS (the female half)

ditto exactly i am a frequent forum stalker not so frequent poster and rarely find a response to anything write (which is fine by the way) but we have had people message us or flirt us based on things i have said that sparked some interest. Not everyone will post something in response to what someone else has said but that doesn't mean they ignore you. Also a lot of the forum regulars have met at social meet and greet events etc and if you check out their friends list you see a lot of the same people so it is natural that they will have 'in jokes' and appear 'clicky' such is life, there is nothing stopping you posting what is on your mind and really who cares if someone agrees with you or not, be grateful that you didn't upset someone and have the whole forum crash down on you lol enjoy it for what it is regardless As for the original question about age range? i've got no idea (Mrs GC)

I didn't actually say I ONLY respond to people I know personally.... just take a look back at this thread by way of example.... you'll see that Ive answered the OP, flirted with KD, suggested I could crawl underneath Saturn anytime she wants me to, answered the OP again, flirted with anyone 25 and under...communicated with Eagertongue, responded again to the OP, and now responded to you. In all that.. Saturn is probably the only one of these people currently on my contacts list.... But even if all of these people are on my contacts list, why would it be pointless? A forum is an open discussion... so I discuss.. it's pointless to argue over this trite observation! :p.HugsS Quoting 'cl_ms' Surely on some level this is all about getting people's attention? Whether you're trying to get people to click through to your profile, or you just want to discuss something with others, it's all about whether or not you're seen and acknowledged. On a site that is all about mixing with different people, surely only reading and responding to posts made by people you know is a bit... pointless?Cheers,MS(the female half) Quoting 'stalky' posting is not just about getting responses, it's more about exposing something of your character to prospective friends and lovers, isn't it?

Yes people post for many reasons. The main reason why i llike posting is because I am actually on RHP to make friendships. I am not after a bonk. Nor am i after a date or a relationship. Some of you might say maybe iam in the wrong forum. I am a highly sexual person who loves talking about sex 24/7 however iam Just not looking for anyone. I haven't gone on a date for over 2 years and i am single. I am after friendships where i can talk and discuss sexual topics with people So yes i do get discouraged from participating when ppl don't reply to me.

Quoting 'stalky'It takes a fair while of regular "civil" postings from a person before the moderator decides to allow you to post instantly. Some of us therefore have instant posting privileges.... which on occasion get revoked for bad behaviour or at other random times at the whim of the moderator... lolz.. In any case, that's the reason your posts take more time to appear compared to some others. Thanks Stalky,These differences in posting rights cause delays which sometimes both make newbies look foolish and have posts totally out of context. Maybe the main reason why newbies don't like to contribute after a few "well untimed" posts.Me ? ... well I'm persistent and just hope sometime the moderators will read this and think they should even things out a little so that everyone can have their posts added in succession so that everyone can see the topic discussions unfold the way the contributors intended.

Quoting 'keepingkarma' ... it's 19:52 (Saturday 23rd) and I'm posting NOW. Let's see how long it takes for the mods to pass this posting KK (a 45+) It's not so much the problem of postings taking a long time to appear, more that some member's postings appear earlier than others even though made after and hence they do not see the whole thread contant before making a comment. Always a problem with moderated discussions like these. It would not be as frustrating if ALL postings took upto 24hrs to appear as long as they all appeared in sequence as they were submitted...mind you though if they all took 24hrs to be approved then it would make for a very long discussion. Anyone got some suggestions to improve things...? Maybe we could have a "moderator" comment ??? ET xox

Quoting 'stalky'I do about 5 or maybe 6 posts a day butvim not buying into this click business. Hugs Stalky Well said Stalky every one has the right of speach as does everyone have the right not to listen at the end of the day opinions are exactly that opinions and are formed in varying ways by people with varying degrees of perceptions. Now having said that does this shit actually help you get laid or is it just a place for the constantly evolving purple circles to feel safe sitting amongst the protection of their peers.NO I think this shit may really help in getting someone laid nothing like a thick layer of verbal diahrea to increase someones standing in the eyes of the lesser. Cheers I'll be at the ready for the inevitable influx of Babes scampering for my inbox?????

The main reason why the average forum age is 45 plus is sheer wieight of numbers in swinging. Most swingers seem to be that age or older becuase they have had 1 or 2 previous marriages and have a desire to be a bit more adventurous sexually. They tend to be a bit more worldly than the younger one's and therefor have more to contribute. Yet another interesting topic..well done rupamohan
