Why is Hobart so boring 🥱

September 22 2024

It’s been a challenge to find like-minded individuals in this town who enjoy both socializing and engaging in recreational activities. Whether it’s hitting the local nightlife scene or participating in fun, active pastimes, it seems difficult to connect with people who share a similar enthusiasm for letting loose and enjoying themselves.

We were in Tassie for 12 days in May. We found it rather difficult to coax locals out of their burrows. We did manage to meet a few daring people/couples though ❤️ - Alex

This is hilarious....I dated a guy from Hobart very briefly. I'm in Brisbane. He said women won't have sex there unless they're in a committed relationship. He was very interested in my explorations. He was super friggin vanilla, not that there is anything wrong with that. He felt he missed out on a lot. So I can now see he was correct.

Hobart does face three notable challenges 1. The weather- its so bloody cold most of the time, like Melbourne, it takes a lot to offer a better alternative to staying at home inside. 2. The smallville- it's so small of a place, everyone knows everyone. So it's only the new people who offer something different. 3. The closing hour- everything closes pretty early during a weekday. I encountered a woman who worked at a Hobart venue. I picked up there was chemistry between us.... me having multiple questions to ask her about Hobart and gauging her interest in conversation led me to asking for her phone number. We messaged after her shift about meeting for a coffee. I let her know I was only in Hobart for work, so wasn't looking for a serious relationship. She was in the lifestyle, but recovering from two break-ups that same week with two partners. She wanted a serious relationship, and considereda long distance relationship as she also felt a connection. I said no to a long distance exclusive relationship. She then blocked me.
