Quoting 'Qefenta3' What winter?:-) ...gorgeous sunny days, coolish nights...gotta love Q land :-) xQ Ahh, Quel dommage, Madame Q. Love the changing seasons. Such a wonderful time to cocoon.... cold nights in melbourne inspire us down south to reflect, break open our best wines to be savoured, be creative or fornicate.... all at the same time hopefully.

I don't really get any time out from people, there always seems to be someone around. If I did have some time, I would stoke the fire, put on a good movie with a nice glass of red. I sleep naked so I wouldn't put my pyjamas on but maybe slip into some trakkie daks and comfy jumper and some warm socks and no underwear. If I could add a man to snuggle into that would be a the perfect scenario for me (minus the trakkie daks and jumper, but my bathrobe). Although I would just prefer to go to Q's place and enjoy the sunshine :)

Remembering my childhood in Townsville not knowing how bloody cold most people in the world are. If only we could move Melbourne to the tropics. I'd never move again.

Love cooking soup in wintery weather, having the fire going, wine and soft music in the background. Ahhh bliss:)

Is really hard to tolerate sometimes! But yes, I love the long hot showers, doonas on the couch, delicious hot food...all these things! A great way to spend a wintery evening here is at the Natural hot springs just around the corner from my place, anyone care to join me?

I am dreaming of hot sandy beaches and gorgeous clear blue water at the moment. Time for another holiday!

Would love to be in bed, drinking red wine, watching a movie and all snuggled up to a warm, sexy body. Why do 2 bodies create so much warmth but I can't do it on my own?

The wood fire is going, pork in plum sauce with rice or chorizo and bean soup for dinner. One of our children is at work, late shift. The other is going to Zumba. Peace and quiet for one hour! My heart goes out to my hubby who is working tonight in this cold weather (he is in a service industry) on call from 6 PM to 6 AM. Stay safe babe, I'm keeping the bed warm ;) Love you. Warm hugs Mary xx

Quoting 'Funlover71' Your such a tease. ;) But you know what it's like when you live here....7 degrees might as well be below zero The days are gorgeous though... one of the few things I like about this place. And Mea, I know it's great!! Haven't had a chance to wear my newest pair though...

Beside kiddo who is asleep, cat on my lap while I crochet a baby blanket. Most nights are spent wishing it was warmer or in the company of a warmer body but alas, they consist of doing what I am doing currently which is enjoyable most of the time. - Posted from rhpmobile

As Q said, Winter in Queensland is brief, mild and a little drier than Summer. The only way we can tell the seasons up here is when State of Origin is on. I would love to give my Burberry trenchcoat a decent run in proper Melbourne weather. Having said that, if Tony Abbott gets his way, in a few decades, Sydney will be having Brisbane Winters and Melbourne will be having Sydney Winters. Hobart will remain the same because it is always fucking freezing there, even in December.

Gotta say, I do feel bad for anyone who has to venture out at night in this chilly week. Mrs AG, I hope you are keeping the home fires burning for your man. Nice and warm, fire burning, and checking out the sights of the Tour De France. Winter nights in Melbourne

Quoting 'ruby_blossum' Heading up that way this weekend Yes. Might be hitting Hotham on Sunday and Monday with my boys when the crowd has gone back to Melbourne. One of the best reasons to have the changing seasons is the variety of sports on offer. Skiing in Winter only 2-3 hours away... Awesome.

Quoting 'ruby_blossum' Lots more snow at Falls Creek Yeah, yeah. Just got back in the big Smoke with my boys. body aching but all good. Wow. Hotham was great. excellent coverage and not so busy as lots of folks back to Melbourne. wish I had a longer time up there but 2 days skiing is better than no skiing at all!!! Love the apres ski mulled wine... Am so jealous you are still up there!!! I love Falls!!! It has been a while since I hit the slopes... Enjoy and safe skiing... So jealous!!!
