I know she's not technically a comedian but Caitlin Moran is hilarious. I absolutely love her book 'How to Be a Woman'.

Seems lately all the big name comedians have all run off and got degrees in social engineering ! Going to Little Creatures this weekend so hopefully see some fresh stuff !

ones that haven't been mentioned so far: Sarah Silverman in some of her old gigs.Joe Rogan and Ari Shaffir when they were out here before a UFC event, they were awesome.Bryan Callen though he jumps between the acting and comedian worlds.

I've been watching too many goat videos on YouTube to keep abreast of current talent. Tim Minchin, Jane Turner, Billy Connolly, Sarah Silverman, Joan Rivers (cough), Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Dylan Moran, Eddie Izzard, Jimmy Fallon, and some classics - Charlie Chaplin, Groucho Marx, Lucille Ball. For some reason I find anyone with an English, Scottish or Irish accent more amusing. Most memorable comedic experience - watching Eddie Murphys Delirious as a 14 year old until I wore the tape out.

no love for Louis CK? Peter Cook and Dudley Moore (I wonder if Derek and Clive could be at all funny to non- 14 y/o me) Klang (a troupe featuring the bloke who plays the snarky teacher in the Inbetweeners) almost made me collapse from the inability to inhale due to literally uncontrollable laughter Daniel Kitson Geraldine Hickey The blond curly haired Kate from Katering Joan Rivers (her bit about her daughter posing for playboy in the documentary 'A Piece of Work' is priceless

Quoting 'amos444' after Col Elliott ,Rodney Rude and Carl Baron . The others seem quite tame. Dylan Moran or Danny Bhoy. My son put me onto them. They are funny. Damn, there's a good American too....he writes these funny songs that he puts in his act - dirty as....I can't think of his name though .

Couldn't really think of any comedians that I've really loved but a couple I'd forgotten about after reading this. Peter Cook and Dudley Moore were brilliant, as a kid they cracked me up but as an adult once completely understood bloody wonderful. The Two Ronnies were a big thing when I was a kid and I did enjoy their show. As a young teen I don't think I ever laughed as much at a something more than Eddie's Delirious except maybe roadrunner cartoons after a spliff. The only comedian that came to mind that tended to always make me cry was Jason Byrne (Irish) when he was on Spicks and Specks from time to time, his take the piss strange arsed humour works for me.

Danny Bhoy! Oh boy - he is wonderful, and not just his humour. Eddie Izzard, love! Tim Minchin, mucho respect. And Dylan Moran - nom nom. I think Tina Fey might just break my American drought.

But he did a show in SYD last year and I was over the moon...almost having to hold onto my date for the evening to avoid running to the stage and throwing myself at the arms of this super sexy unresistable man I do respect Tim Michin - but I am not into music that much to like this shows.. And Billy Nighy...OMG did he not look HOT HOT HOT in the movie "the Boat that rocked"...and of course Chris o'Dowd Nick Frost...or even P.S.Hoffman....aahhhhhh...comedians are super sexy

Dylan Moran, the fixer upper. Bill Bailey, who you'd do the disges with anytime! Billy Connelly, good for nudist beach trips. Arj Barker, I like yelling too. Ronny Cheng, Asian Persuasion. Adam Hills, everyone's friend. Will Anderson, still sound byte good. Tim Minchin, the fucker will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Dave Cullan is an absolute beast. Damian Callinan is dance electric funny. Lawrence Mooney is cringe, shock jock goodness at its best. No person would ever forget the Doug Anthony All Stars if you needed to pee mid performance! I used to love good News Week when I was younger. Harley Breen gets me wet with his Aussie man humor. There's this other guy I saw who does this whole anti anal sex spiel, he was damn funny (played Claudia Karvans love interest in 'time of our lives') can't find his name anywhere. Obviously some ladies are funny too, I don't like the competition. I'm the only comedian alowed in my house. 😉 - Posted from rhpmobile
