strange addiction..I try to give it up,delete me ,go cold turkey, and then fingers tremble,hand shakes,one day,a week even will go by without a fix..and then,I am BACK...poor,poor me...I wonder if there is a patch ? ......btw OP,how do you know they are here for hours and hours,hmmm.

Hi Im Mrs Cheeky - and Im addicted to RHP...... but I dont tend to long out so it probably appears that I am on here 24/7 which is not the case, I have at least a 30min break... lolEach to there own..... many other things that would be worse addictions

many a time have logged on thinking to stay a short time, and befor i know it, its time to go to work, nothing done for the day again lol. And once logged in I stay logged in.So i guess yes it can be addictive.

I like the chat rooms,jumping on there at night and chatting with others, having a laugh and seeing what shinangians will ensue :)

Someone coming up as online doesn't necessarily mean that they're here. If you walk away from your computer or don't actually log out of the app on your phone and just closer the quick way, it will leave you signed In. I'm probably online 24/7 cause I use the app. At least it's a good cover story to hide by addiction and how much time I actually spend on here...Very addictive. Jess xx- Posted from rhpmobile

my own interventioneven on the road , there is wifi but soon if go deeper into the bush, then nutting, no phone no wifi but I think that I may have to just stop at road houses and shag a truck driversome of us have other addictions as well as RHPbut I am also going to mine towns and that fluro gear has become the new man in uniform..addicted? who Moi?

Time filler as I do not like monotony. Not addicted, happy to have a look once or twice a week. I see many people who are addicted - especially in the chat rooms... As long as its fun and people are having fun, I do not see it as a bad addiction.

I got involved in the crazinness of the forums way back when it was based on State forums rather than the National forum we have now. It really hasn't changed that much over that time lol. Characters aplenty, dramas left, right and centre, fun, fantasy, fakes, fools, foment, friends, and, and, and... xxx

Since I have learned to type with two fingers and a thumb, I sleep better and I sleep type, it is a bit like sleep walking but safer, and no one needs to go out looking for me. I only go on here now and then to read what I wrote not really here because I was sleeping when it was wrote, but it is ok to be addicted if you don't have problems for it.see you all when I wake up, Goodnight.Mado

lol i went through a stage were i was doing 24/7 5-6 day benders on chat to be totally honest with ya apart from growing a beard to my knees and not leaving the house or seeing anyone it wasnt that bad cause all my chat buddys were also there.. guess it was just something i needed to go through at the time no regrets at all..

I haven't meant to be patronising. Lately, more than ever,I have been more aware of the good things I appreciate about the forums and the people in it, from the time I first came across them years ago to the changes along the way that i think of as the history of the forums, to now where I feel like I'm really getting to appreciate them more and more. I meant for the tone of my original post to follow on from yours in celebration of the variety of us in the forums, it was you that inspired me. I have been trying to give more of myelf in the forums lately. Usually on threads about being addicted, I make a weak joke about being 'a dick Ted'.
