  What I've noticed is plenty of men are happy to ask to anal a women, but fewer are willing to reciprocate when it comes to their partner's desires. The disgusted look of fear in the eyes is real!   I enjoy it but I don’t ‘prefer’ it… it’s just a different type of pleasure. I’ve had some horrendous (perhaps horrific) experiences that never made me want to do it again. It was completely off limits.   I wouldn’t say one way would be a preference over another, the two acts don’t compare and also depends on the guy that’s giving it which i would be much more selective over as it involves handing over control.
