If you love comedy, an oldie but a goodie is "The Ricky Gervais Podcast'' - Ricky, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington just dribbling shit. If true crime is your thing, "Casefile'' features (mostly) Australian murders of note. General all-round fun, look no further than Myf Warhurst and Zan Rowe - general pop culture and social/political commentary with some really bad singing. If you're a history buff Dan Carlin's Hardcore History is exhaustive, some long episodes, but he has a passion for his topic and this comes across very well. For the music enthusiast Rolling Stone's Music Now or BBC Radio 2's Desert Island Discs. For heartfelt interviews with all manner of people from the obscure to the uber-famous Conversations With Richard Fidler. All these populate my phone or media player for long drives, gym sessions, bike rides or just around the house.

I've been listening to podcasts since iTunes made them available, I hardly listen to the radio in the car anymore. I have quite a few that I listen to but to name just a few; Casefile True Crime, The McKinsey Podcast, Serial and Football Weekly - The Guardian.

Fictional: Welcome to Nightvale - it's been described as what might happen if Steven King and a Neil Gaiman played a game of SIMS together Factual: 99%Invisible - sensational insights into those quirks of the cities and communities around us. I discovered it on a friend's recommendation before my recent trip to San Francisco, and she found all the SF-related episodes for me to check out. It really added to my experience of the city. Audioporn: Levar Burton Reads. Just want it sounds like. Him reading some of his favourite short fiction. Just awesome.

Just *what it sounds like. Can we not get an edit feature in here already??? And I guess I should explain, audioporn might give you an inaccurate perception of the content. It's not porn related. In the typical sense. But if great fiction, read in a velvet-smooth voice gets your juices flowing, then get onto it.

I never miss an episode of Radioslab or 99%Invisible. 'Life On The Swingset' is also great, especially for those long road trips. - Posted from rhpmobile
