secret filming

March 03 2014

How do you know if you are secretly being filmed when you hook up with someone? I recently met up with a lovely man. He was charming. We had a beer together. I pashed him goodbye out in the open of the club carpark. We finally met up a second time 3 weeks later...by which time I was about to call it quits and forget about him. We again, had a couple of beers together then went to the carpark where this time I sat in his car and kissed him and we fondled a bit. He was very happy at my reaction to the size of his anatomy. But again that is where it ended. I did however notice a red light on, on the dash of his car.... I am probably being paranoid here but he was driving an expensive car and to me it didn't match the job description he gave me. What are your rights regarding this??? Can someone film your sexual act without your permission? Where do we stand here? - Posted from rhpmobile

The Privacy Laws in Australia state that as a general principle, if you are in a public place, you can be recorded, unless that recording constitutes the committing of a crime via nuisance, invasive or offensive conduct. You're within a car, which is considered a private space... so the owner sets the rules. BUT.... It is never ok to record someone's private activities and conversations without their consent, and publishing by posting such images without the persons consent on the internet (a woman's image used in a single guys profile, for example) .... Is also a crime. A LOT of guys, and couples in here should really think about that one. Most modern cars have a red dash light as a security deterrent do perhaps you are a bit sensitive..... I haven't read your profile to see if there's a reason to be secretive... I guess there's a line between caution and needing to be covert that many in here operate. covert....Not sure why your reaction to his dick is relevant to a topic in privacy though. BUT always find out the fact before taking any action! If the red light was positioned at the wrong spot of the dash/car, then I guess you could ask him, in a conversing way, what the red light was for, instead of questioning him in an unhappy tone, just in case of any unexpected scary surprises! And no, nobody is allowed to film you or record your voice at any time without your consent, regardless of what you're doing or where you are! That would be breaching your privacy and it's a crime! However, I would suggest one to always look after their own safety first before taking any action that might cause the twist of an act! As for the matter of the car of the man in question doesn't match with his job.......don't even go there! Just leave his car and run as soon as you can if you feel something is not right! Nothing is more important than your own safety, believe me!!! However, having said that, you could be a bit too sensitive as he could be a rich person but didn't want to show off. After all, not all wealthy people would want to tattoo their riches on their foreheads! - Posted from rhpmobile

I think its to do with the immobiliser I think can't remember.Trust me if he had a secret camera filming you I doubt it would have a great big red flashing light on it saying LOOK AT ME!!!I would be more worried at someones house that they could film you. It can and does happen unfortunately.

Where are people getting their legal info from? The OP is from NSW, so I'm going to guess that this all took place in NSW. This is full of misinformation, like the old "nobody can take your photo at the beach" (they can, even at a nude beach) Surveillance Devices Act is quite clear on this about listening devices and cameras. You are allowed to covertly record a private conversation you are a party to. You can't record other people if they don't know it, and you aren't a party to what is going on. You cannot record it if you intend to publish it (or a report) to other people. But I can carry a dictaphone, and record you, and replay it as many times as I like - I just can't let other people hear it. It is also clear in the very next section, that the owner can install an camera and use it. If you're talking tort law and breach of privacy, there isn't a breach of privacy where you don't communicate the recording to anyone else. They can't have an expectation of privacy from you seeing/hearing something that you are actually participating in - they could have an expectation of privacy from it being recorded or communicated to/by a third party.

Many moons ago, when I was divorced I met a guy that did surveillance. Anyway he talked me into having sex and letting hi tape it. He would get turned on, when we had sex again and he watched what he had just done. I was not really comfortable about it, after the event and so ask him to erase the tape in front of me. I thought he had but he had not and then I he slipped up and said , I showed another woman the tape we made and she wants a threesome. I was so pissed off and demanded the tape( yes I was in da olden days) but he would not hand it over and he stopped returning my calls. so out there is some terrible porno of me. another time, the guy had is lap top positioned open where it faced the bed. I was very on edge for some reason and was again new to all this internet stuff and never had the guts to say can you shut that down please.I also felt there was someone else in the house, so I guess he was doing me and feeding it into another room for his mates to watch who knows? Its so easy to do now, and you may never know if your bouncing bum and boobs are now starting in some porn site. LadyT making the worlds worst porn.

We do things on trust... I am very new to this having had sex with only one man from off here. I made sure his phone was still in his pants pocket where he undressed. I checked no computer lap top was open and I even checked that the ceiling fan remote was just that. I did all this very discreetly but you can never be 100% sure there wasn't a hidden camera somewhere. Yes. I am paranoid. I have had a real lot of shit happen to me lately. And I think a lot of it has to do with either my ex (top of list) or an old school friend and his buds. The mind games are horrid. I would never play someone like the way I am being played. I even have some ppl on here doing it. If you are reading this, which you probably are, NOT NICE GUYS. It's about time you all got on with your lives and you leave me alone. - Posted from rhpmobile

S_ontheloose, my response is in recognition of the recent Nsw police officer convicted of secretly filming women while he had sex with them. Maybe he did show someone the home movies.... I don't know the details. Gaz - Posted from rhpmobile

We hooked up with a couple at their place years ago. He wanted to play in the lounge area with the lights low, which at the time didn't seem odd, but after he split with his wife, she was busy telling us about the live feed he had to all the cameras in his lounge, entrance and kitchen and how he knew when she left and came home...she insisted that they were installed a few weeks after we had been there....but she wasn't very convincing 😞. He was left a fairly stern warning from my husband that if he had footage and anything ever got out, it would be a big mistake on his part. To this day we still don't know if he has films of us playing...it's still creeps me out thinking about it.

I just think it is fricken wrong. You should ask first if someone minds you filming and if they say 'No' accept it. I'm no porn queen. Fuck...I've still got 'L' plates on. - Posted from rhpmobile

Ultimately, this is a trust issue. There generally won't be flashing lights or obvious indications that a recording device is in use, and small sugar cube sized cameras are cheap on eBay. If they want to record you without your consent, there's not a hell of a lot you can really do about it unless you bring a non linear junction detector, a spectrum analyser and several spare hours to sweep the room before every meet, which I guarantee will kill the mood :) Your best defence against recording devices is to play either at your own place, or on neutral ground (such as in a hotel room booked by you) where hopefully you'd notice any strange objects placed by your playmate that could contain a camera.

The thing is if you are recorded, and that recording is sent outside the country, then uploaded to the internet, you don't have much chance for doing anything at all, any one who would be doing that sort of secret filming, are not going to be worried by some accusations , allegations, even contactable once they have the prize. Once it is on he www. it is pretty much imposable to remove it, and little help can police do, First thing you would need to provide is an address that is within that particular police stations jurisdiction where the crime has been committed. It's one of those things that is part with the risk with it all, guess being alert to things like being hustled to a particular spot, make habbit for looking to a spot somewhere other than the suggestive set up might be, sit in the back seat of the car some thing to the thrill of it, see if coaxed to another place, you could be all playful and figit around to keeping on the move for a while, soon frustration would begin to show. If it happens they just follow you around just trying to get into things and are playful with no concern where you chose to be comfortable, pretty safe to you on their mind, little chance the obsession the camera is the centre of attention. Don't just automatically choose the spot that looks so comfortable and prepared, choose your own bit af space and make it comfortable, who would mind or worry, other than assist, won't take long for agitation to hint, a nervous twitch, some little thing bugging them. Be aware for anyone and be in control to yourself, never doubt that feeling you get, you get plenty of warning, it's instinctive and it's tuned to predatory behaviours and body language expressed. Always it is repeated, "I new there was something bla bla" Awareness should be your safest bet for any situation, make sure you have it on, think to it, not to the distractions. Mado Mado Tara xx

My paranoia is surmountable and with good reason.I can never have anyone understand my living hell.I have been traced, tracked, hacked and stalked across the internet. All for no good reason.... I know that if secret pics turn up of me on the internet I won't be around long enough to have them affect me but it may harm my kids. This is why I don't do nudes...I want my private life to remain that way. I don't think I am being unreasonable.
