the procrastination list

September 30 2014

I am in a cleaning frenzy, you know all the things you put off over winter. Gird your loins Nelly I am about to tackle the plastic containers cupboard! Got me thinking of the things I have put off over the years, and some things now its to late to do. But some things now I am learning a new. I always wanted to play the piano. alas now too late.I wanted to be a painter, and ticked that off my bucket list, even left my job to go back to tafe at a ripe old age to study. Study law, got close but alas opted for anthropology instead. Going to Canada is on my to do list, that trip up through the rocky mountains. I always wanted to learn a language, did for a while while living in Isreal, but forgot it all now. Run a marathon, but with three major back operations in three years, I could not run out of sight on a dark night anymore. Well back to my spring clean up, the dog is looking frightened as the vacuum cleaner is about to melt down. ...have a good one and whats on your procrastination list.?

I'm in the process of a massive clean out. I'm moving all the stuff out that just sits there doing jack shit... A few years back I threatened to do this but something happened and it seem to start breeding. The trick is to be ruthless and just chuck or sell off any stuff you don't use or wear anymore. Feels good when you do...

My all time favourite habit against which I am currently in an active process of resistance. Experience has proven that procrastination gets me nowhere fast. :-) . I'm still a bit past the old, 'stitch in time' homily though, as far as clearing out my cupboards goes. (finally done earlier this year hehe). Ahem, with a final step of, 'checking that I don't actually need that'>>> Happy homes have been sought in the meantime, reusing rather than just recycling. . While I've been procrastinating in my cocoon, I'd like to think I've achieved some of my most memorable moments though, longevity bring on the top of my list lol. In life, home and love... . Finding a place in a huger family became a reality, thanks to you. . What more to ask for...

Sometimes putting something off is worse than biting the bullet and ticking it off the list. Once you've done its sceptre is no longer hanging over you.So off I go...got a job to do.

The two rules of procrastination: 1.. Do it today. 2.. Tomorrow will be today tomorrow. When it cones to gardening, weeding, or home & car maintainance, I live by this rule. Unfortunatly, so does hubby. Mrs JT2 - Posted from rhpmobile

Top of the procrastination list is Work (that dirty four lettered word!)... just not sure if I could be arsed or not to do any. (The joy of working from home and doing whatever I want... might go to the beach for a coffee or find a friend) As for "I always wanted to play the piano. alas now too late." ... tis never too late to follow an interest or passion! It is only ever too late when you die. (bit like saying "I love you" or meeting the person of your dreams) SG

It is only ever too late when you die. (bit like saying "I love you" or meeting the person of your dreams) SG How true is that, how often do we loose track of telling people that? I am a stubborn person, I do not forgive ever. If you piss on me from a great height, I do not just put up an umbrella.I know that is harsh, but I have enough people in my life that when I take out the trash, I leave it out. But I do always tell those I love often how I feel about them. I had two friends die recently in a space of six months. And as age is creeping up on me I know I am mostly likely next cab of the rank. I never put off telling people about how I appreciate them, how much I value their friendship, and most of all I thank them every time they do something nice for me. Even if its a simple thing like doing the dishes. Alas I am putting off loosing bloody weight! ahhhh I am in love with bread. Carbs are not my friend! As for the piano, a lovely guy on here contacted me and gave me some links to a new way of learning piano for and oldie like me it might just work. One of my kids is a professional musician and singer, so maybe i can buy an old piano and scare the shit out of her when she comes home, buy playing flight of the bumble B in C minor. i did that once when she was a kid, I had bought a new electronic piano and it had three songs in it, you just pressed one key and away it went on its own. So for her birthday we rolled in the piano and i sat down to play. her eyes were like saucers and she says, my god Mum!I had no idea you could play the piano, we were in fits after that one. inthekiss all fingers and thumbs
