I went through a phase lasting a good couple of years where all I could think about in my free time was sex. This was manageable at first, then I was neglecting my normal domestic chores and responsibilities on sites such as these, watching porn on the internet - all that kind of stuff. I always had the itch that I just could not scratch - at least by myself - this led me to quite a few poor choices of sexual contact that I still feel a twinge of shame about to this day. Really seedy, bottom of the barrel scraping stuff. Where it definitely became a problem though was when my thoughts would turn to sex at work. Like most jobs, mine is fairly monotonous so my thoughts started turning absent-mindedly to sex with this person or that person. I really scared myself in the lunchroom once, lay down on the couch to have a bit of a siesta and proceeded to have this ragingly explicit sexual dream. I woke myself up uttering something - god knows what - and realized I had the mother of all erections. Nobody seemed to notice anything so no harm done, but this shook the daylights out of me. If there is such a thing as ''detoxing'' from all things sexual then I decided that day that I was going to try and distance myself from my habits. That was about a year ago I suppose, I had to really will myself to not ''put myself out there'' on this and other sites. Stopped messaging people here and elsewhere, uninstalled all the apps from my phone, stopped looking up porn (this was quite easy as I was finding not a lot of porn did it for me anymore anyway). These days I have quite a casual attitude toward sex - I get lucky a couple of times a year and I am quite fine with that. I have much more time on my hands, I am getting everything done that I need to get done, and I no longer feel sick in the head. I still love the forums here, which is the only reason I get on RHP these days.
