Just like going to a pub or nightclub but everyone had a common interest lol . My wife has always been a bit shy to go to a party where every one is playing around the room ect- Posted from rhpmobile

as much as I can. I'm always up for a good party and it would be fun to meet some people from here. Let me know how I can help or if your catching up for a committee meeting. If you can't message me, send me a flirt and I'll get back to you. But I reseve the right to be drunk fool on the night, any dancing on the tables must be instigated by me.

I used to help organise the Melbourne ones along with a few other wonderful women. The last one I went to was well over 2 years ago. They used to be every couple of months back then. They weren't too difficult to organise but did take a fair bit of promoting to get a good turn up on the night.I remember going into the online chat daily and continually "pimping" myself and the night to help get a good turn out.The ones without lots of good promotion tend to be poorly attended and lack atmosphere.I keep myself out of the loop (and limelight) these days but I'd possibly consider going.Feeling like a rather conservative RHPer these days.Good luck. x Sat

We organised one too a while back (at the Union Hotel in Windsor) and had around 60 turn up. Was a good night and great atmosphere. We too would love to attend any future nights should some kind heart organise one. Ms Saturn, is it your turn, or want to organise one together with me?

I remember those nights...first they started off in Spencer St and then moved to a Club in St Kilda! They were the best nights ever! I have no idea why they were stopped as they had waiting lists for people to get in they were that popular! - The drinks nights that everyone else on this post is talking about are more "private" nights...although they are advertised in Events if you don't know anyone and aren't in the "click" then chances of you sitting alone are pretty high! You will get a couple of people that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable but eventually you are left to your own devices and don't feel like you want to intrude in on conversations! At the last drinks night I ended up sitting on a couch at a pub watching cricket (which I could have done at home)! And then you have the pettiness of "if that person goes then I'm not going" .. quite laughable actually! Oh and not forgetting the person who brings their friend to try and intimidate you just because you said something in the Forums they didn't like! Also the throngs of people that put their names down for the Event and never show up! - I went to a lunch last year with some wonderful people from the Forums and it was the funniest day I have had in a long time...Plenty of laughs and everyone was comfortable so the conversations flowed! Was a great day! . I do wish that RHP would bring back those old drinks nights though, the hosts made you feel comfortable, the girls and guys handing out the drinks and snacks made you feel comfortable and if you stood alone, you never were for long as everyone was so friendly and the RHP staff were always there to make sure you weren't alone! xFunlovingx

Hosted venues like that would work much better. Personally we never got invited to any of those. You are totally correct with the clicky groups though and of course the no-shows. While we try to get around and talk to everyone, it was obvious some people we sitting on their own and not allowed "in" to chat.

Never realised that RHP hosted events. Sounds fun I organise Sydny drinks two years ago and had about 100 register their interest. I think maybe 25 showed up. Mind you it was 45 degrees that day which may have something to do with it. Also RHP would always allow the Melbournites talk about their drinks night in the forum but when ever someone from Sydney tried to do the same the thread would be shut down. No idea why.

Meeka, the last drinks night I set-up RHP was heavily restricted. I had listed the event, but RHP censored the Venue name and I could only list the suburb. When I asked why, I was told in the interests of public safety and that people should email us to get the information. Of course as a Platinum member (back then) only those who match what we're looking for can email us for free, so single guys couldn't. Let's hope the system can be improved for 2013 :-)

While we try to get around and talk to everyone, it was obvious some people we sitting on their own and not allowed "in" to chat. It wasn't an "invite" per say...They had it up on Events and it was first in best dressed! You could either pay at the door or pay via credit card on this site! I think it was only around $15 to get in but you got a complimentary champagne and nibbles as well! Also there were hot dancers...male and female and the atmosphere was just the best ever! The music was just fantastic and everyone would be up dancing! The promotions girls and guys would walk around and hand out glow sticks and just stop for a bit of a chat every now and again! I walked in alone but always walked out making many new friends! xFunlovingx

The Meet n Greet drinks nights are a great night out, and there should be more of them. We enjoy a night out at the swingers clubs but they can be an expensive night out, and not always fulfilling. Count us in if somebody decides to organise one in Brizzy.. :)

We have just moved to Melbourne and have started a social meetup group here as a good way of meeting people. We had 33 couples to the last event (couples only). There is certainly a lot of interest out there in this type of social gathering.

I've been a couple of times with exes but would definitely prefer to go with RHPies. You find mr this year hanging from the ceiling looking like a squeezed sausage in silk ropes shibari style .....

Luvnya, swingers clubs are NOT expensive at all. Only cover charge, you bring your own alcohol. It is a common misconception that just because you pay cover charge the night is a dear one. I ask anyone to take $25 out with you and go to the cit and buy drinks and play around, and play a game of pool etc...could not do it. $50 a couple is NOT dear. Just had to say it. Leesa xxx

Us being non members to CI is a cost of $120, a cost outside our budget for a night out..Especially if we don't enjoy the club.

Only $50 a couple any Thursday night, and still at $60 each for a whole night out if not a member on Friday or Saturday it is indeed a cheap night. Leesa xxx

Plus we have night every now and then where we offer free club memberships, and even at $150 for a whole year membership to attend the club for $25 each for a year as many times as you like, is indeed a big saving and bargain . But then I suppose everyone in life under values everything don't they. Leesa xxx

There is general admission $25 and VIP tickets for $45. Can anyone tell me if it is worth getting VIP tickets? Seems like you still need to pay for some things once you are in there?
-
