where have all the swinging clubs gone

  Some of the clubs may have gone but check in the events listing and you will find private parties advertised,including ours. bothtogether6

  and I found from having first lived in Melbourne where clubs/parties are heavily attended... that a lot of clubs here for reasons unknown werent supported....no idea why but I do know that the scene over here has a different public feel   Down south, a few clubs that I know of opened, but have since closed..one in particular I attended quite a bit but few people rocked up week after week, so it was inevitable that it would close.. another terrific couple held a regular party each month down south, which was well attended but my understanding is they have taken a break from hosting....and thats fair enough   There is of course Deltas in the CBD and also I believe the Burswood has opened up again under a bit of a different guise...and to the best of my knowledge Club XS is still going (up north)   As bothtogether said the best you can do is check the events section, and there is often still some great private parties happening out there ...and cudos to the lovely people who host them...well done..I hope people do appreciate your efforts..

  Thanks again for the info will have to serch them again and like u said will chek the events Yes it is hard to keep them running if very little people take the time to show up thats not going to be fundable to pay the bills ( so to speak) will do some searchn and see what we can find as this would be our first adventure to a swingers party or club we woul like it to be comfortable ( so to speak) Thanks again all for your input into our forum Perthfuncouple

  I agree with SLK's comments. We are in Brisbane and it seems that it has the same thing going on as Perth. The selection of clubs is limited. The last few times we have been to a club unless it was a theme night (and sometimes even if it was!) there were not that many people there. We have done the math and there is no way that these venues could be turning a decent profit even if everyone there paid $100 to get in the door every time they came.   Personally I wouldn't want to own a club and have to give up every Friday and Saturday night to be open as well as put up with the crap you get when you are dealing with the general public.   So that may be the answer to your question. As far as clubs attracting only atheltic people. I think once a venue gets a reputation for attracting a certain 'type' then those people will gravitate there. if there was a club that got a rep for being BBW friendly then it would make sense that it would be populated with BBW and the guys that like them.   I share your frustration but I also see that it is unreasonable to expect that there will be a venue in easy reach that has the kind of people I like that want to play with me when and if it suits me. Especially if there isn't the population to support that kind of thing.   Mrs Jones
